This is the latest Model Macbook Air with 1.8Ghz i5 Processor (Mid 2012)

Already upgraded to 8gb of Ram from the standard 4gb.

7 hour battery life.

Costco also include a 2 year warranty for this and being a member I have always found their customer service excellent.

This deal is even cheaper than the Black Friday deals which was available with Apple or John Lewis.

Note if you are not a Costco member (you can join instore). If your not a member add 6% to the purchase price so its worth joining if you were to buy this.

Membership is £30 incl VAT or £66 incl VAT for Executive membership which gets you 2% cashback at the end of the year on all purchases.

Standard Apple website price is £1,079 for this spec with only Apple's standard 1 year warranty.

£927.60 using the education link, plus you get free Applecare for 3 years. Better deal IMHO.
My Macbook Air is, hands down, the best laptop I've ever owned - and I've been through a good number. It's expensive, yes, but it's also excellent, will last well, and hold its value. This seems like a cheap price given that Apple stuff is very rarely reduced.
why would anyone pay double for just the name apple? silly. You can get better for half the cost.

Perhaps, a single core one with less cache.

Likely in a machine bigger than my desk.

I am sure you did..... loser.
I got my 13inch one for under £780 with three years apple warranty happy to see the least they allowed me when I phone to get a uni discount along with black Friday could not be happier I simply love the machine and the battery life is just outstanding I dont even need to take my charger to school now and I come home with at leat 30 percent charge more than impressed. Few things to not Microsoft office is far from perfect I have it boot-camped with Windows 7 and office installed on it but it feels weird lol.

I had a mobile weighing 86g 10 yrs ago... what's your point?
Great price for an 8gb and 128gb ssd version, heated.
Looks cool, would be afraid it could become macbook snap though.
I could build a PC that runs every game in ultra high settings at 1080p for £300 less than this.
This model is lovely, and it is very quick. To be honest the 8GB ram is not really necessary because of the SSD in the machine. OSX runs lovely on 4GB ram with loads of apps open, and even if the system has to page the SSD it is snappy.

I bought one but had to send it back (256GB) - still not big enough for me I'm afraid. Needed to be 512GB and that is a pricey upgrade!

If people come up with idiotic comments, I am here to put them right. Nothing to do with the brand, people are so blind to things and just look at specifications. Doesn't work like that these days.

thats with 4gb ram, costco deal has 8gb so adding that on as an option takes it £11 or so more. costco deal is hot but i guess those without a card will vote it cold. sad really.
^That's with 4GB RAM, you have to change it on the right hand panel and then it becomes £927 I think.
Wow, I'm not bashing on Apple or trying to start a flame war, but that price is madness. You would probably get a Razer Blade for around that price, which in my honest opinion demolishes this product.

This is with student discount isn't it?
Love my air. Best laptop I have ever owned! Seems like a good deal to me
Personally, for someone to say the spec is no good and they would not pay this sort of money for the product, they have to have actually used one in order to give credible feedback/comments. Just looking at it doesn't constitute as a user in the know.
too small pointless unless you are a midget

yes you are, this is the kind of people who never used a product n then start commenting and complaining. There's a reason for the high price and if you don't get that I'm sorry you are not having it.

Apple is the only company in the world that makes its own hardware and software and its a perfectly engineered product and it has its own merits that stands out. Apple care about their customers user experience, which no other company can offer or match. And the customer service is top notch. None of the other pc/laptop manufacturers can't even come close.

In America apple has started overtaking windows when it comes to laptop sales, how abt that. Its only the beginning,

There's no need for that anymore. Windows 8 has done enough damage to Microsoft. Its history now.
aircanman

No, it's £927 with 8GB upgrade.

So can you also justify the £68 extra for am extra 4GB or RAM? Does this represent value for money despite quality RAM being cheap as chips?

Apple is a joke.

That's my point, exact same price and you can get a Mac with much better hardware, if you even want to put windows on it you can and still get a better experience.
