The Gentle Temp 720 measures ear temperature, but can also be used to take surface temperatures from a milk bottle or food as well as giving readings for the room temperature.

The backlit screen allows for readings to be seen clearly at night time making it especially useful when measuring your baby's temperature at night-time. Temperatures can be displayed in either degrees centrigrade or Fahrenheit.

Activates at the touch of a button, simply hold the sensor 1-3cm away from the desired surface, press the start button and a reading is given in one second.

  • Fast one-second contactless measurement
  • Measures body, surface and room temperature
  • Memory to store 25 readings to track temperature over a period of time

Best price I could find was at costco. Good for taking kids temperature.

I use braun pro series tympanic thermometer on a daily basis as i work in a hospital. This omron is as accurate and is more handy for checking the temperature of babies.

I’m curious about the baby comment, just out of curiosity, these are still good for adults? Asking as someone who is prone to infections. Thanks.

Still good for adults. Babies move when you try to use a tympanic thermometer. Hence these are easier to use on them.

The Braun Thermoscan 7 model equivalent models are the ones used for adults in most hospitals.

I've yet to work as a medical practitioner in a hospital where they are not used

Hospital use the pro series. Normally from 'Welch Allyn'. Some places still uses the pro 4000 series. They cost over £150. medisave.co.uk/wel…BwE

Am not saying that hospital uses the contactless like this deal. All i meant is that the contactless ones are easier to use at home on babies and children. They still give an accurate reading.

They should be in stock in the costco stores as the offer started today. Got one from Milton Keynes costco today. There were loads on the shelf.
I found these too sensitive for my preemie and found it caused more worry than good. Constantly gave us readings of 38+ but when checked against a stick thermometer she was average temps of 36/37
Please do not buy this - Ignore the poster above who said it is just as accurate. It is not. the fluctuations in readings, followed by a test with a braun 7, this IR scanner is terrible. It is a good price for a thermometer, however it is a useless product, so I am not voting heat or cold, but providing a real world review.
Need to get this! thanks.
