Just been to Costco (Haydock) and the Xbox 360 Premium is now £233.81 including VAT (that's 198.99 + vat).

Costco only sell the one pack and that's the Premium console with one wireless controller - no free games. They have never sold the Core pack.

I assume that this is the current price at all Costco stores and they are probably just trying to compete with the Makro price.

How good of a deal is this compared to others on the market?

I am a Costco member and wondered if this is worth it?

Depends what you are after, if it is just a Premium then it is good, apart from a couple of deals now and then where you create an account, go through quidco etc etc

I am after another controller and PGR3 so a current bundle at play and game for 290 is my target. This deal plus getting controller and game seperately would save me about a tenner.

I smell MS is going to revamp it's range of 360's. ;-)

1st May so the rumour goes for the new Black/HDMI/120GB HDD version. The Gamers Developer Conference is from 5th-7th March so if there is to be any news on a new 360 SKU, you'll hear it there first.

I would hope they dump the Core system, and move the current premium to a £200, or below, price point.

Indeed that's what I'm hoping. ;-)

The PS3's chances will be truly destroyed if MS come through with the new 360 on time.

i wouldnt bother, if you want an xbox 360 , get one. there are no facts about any kind of replacement xbox 360.

120gb hd? fantastic, i have 20 odd games for my machine, films, music and other stuff on there, i still have 15gb left. there isnt much point having a 120gb hd if you can stream via windows media edition pc.

the only change an xbox 360 really needs to make is a built in wireless router, built in hd dvd player and a cooler cpu. and no doubt the price will go up if these things are implimented.

Hold off on any purchase until the Gamer's Developer Conference is over. If any announcement is to be made about a new revision of the 360 it will be there.

If you're desperate for a 360 now then I'd get one, if you're 50/50 then hold off for a little while longer. Even if no 360 revision materialises I'd imagine MS will be prepping some good deals around the time the PS3 launches in the UK.

How about Boots - currently £242.99 delivered for the premium. Also a possible 6.5% from Quidco and 2079 advantage points if you use code BFBB43. That makes it the equivalent of £227.20 and £20.79 to spend in Boots stores.
