I believe you should only adjust the grind bean settings when beans are actually being ground. Since it seems to be in vogue nowadays that coffee is good for you,I should live to be around 150 (embarrassed)

akexuk

The esam4200 is £299 on amazon and sometimes cheaper than that.

meggie_dude

As I say, Its horses for courses. I'm sure all Delonghi machines do a great job. The further you go up the food chain the more functionality, and obviously cost. If anything my machine is overly bossy - do this, do that, empty this, fill that etc. But at least it has little margin for error. I got my teenager to make me a lovely cup of coffee today - which is like a first. I guess he only did it coz it was a spangly kitchen gadget.

wakkaday

De'Longhi Magnifica ESAM 4200.S Bean to Cup, Silver this is the one i have from amazon, significantly cheaper, didn't come with any filters or anything... the grind bean setting switch is a bit difficult to turn, not sure if thats a fault... and obviously doesnt have a milk container

meggie_dude

Horses for courses, but yes. I find Nespresso and similar coffee machines to be a bit artificial in terms of taste. A good bean to cup will not get you the exact same quality as from a good coffee Barista, but its close enough for us mere mortals. We had both Philps Senseo and Dolche Gusto before our Delonghi, and this if most definitely a step up from both of those. I've tried coffee from nespressos, and I would put them at a similar level to the Dolche Gusto we had. Also, in the long run Nespresso are an expensive way to buy not much coffee, vs a bag of Beans. Also worth mentioning that if its like ours you can use ground coffee via a small slot next to the bean vault, so if I am caffeinated to the eyeballs I can just bug some ground decaff in there and chill a bit.

This beef is tremendous and very easy to cook due to the fat marbling specific to this meat. The fat melts away to leave a succulent steak. Try Googling how they look after these animals, they are very well cared for.

If I'm ever stuck in foreign climes for any length of time I come back to the UK craving fish and chips from an excellent local chippie, and nothing tastes better. Taste is always tied to circumstance and surroundings. I suspect I would be disappointed if I cooked and ate this at home. And then I would wonder, was that £15 that just flew across my plate

Very good mate, thanks for asking. Thoroughly recommend.

jamgin

All, next time you are in a supermarket compare the cost of these packs per 100g against the cost of just buying a bag of porridge oats. Astronomical markup just for the 'convenience' of having individual sachets of porridge. I just use a cup measure so that I get the right amount of porridge/milk and a big bag of Sainsburys Porridge oats lasts me ages.

I have this speaker its excellent, the Google assistant is really good, the sound quality is better then most Google speakers. This has 2 microphones and can easily hear commands from the other side of the room. I usually play Spotify and also have my lifx lights connected to this, quite cool turning lights of with voice commands. Both my Sony tvs can also be operated via this with voice, like play certain YouTube videos on my tvs. This also has a microphone mute button for those who don't like the speaker always listening. Nice TV great price

spannerzone

Probably not, Toshiba have seemed to have made a real balls up, as we know they got Vestel to make their TVs are while back, then sold the brand name rights to Compal in 2016 (who bought Toshiba factories in Poland) then a year later sell the brand to Hisense while keeping Vestel making their products (Compal stopped in 2017 it seemed), so it seems to me at least. Reports suggest as of Feb 2018 the Compal agreement was to be ended, but Vestel's agreement would continue, with input from Toshiba's Japanese design team. If I didn't know better, I said say they haven't got a friggin clue what to do with their brand name :D https://toshiba-tv.com/uk-uk/ “Toshiba” is a registered trademark of Toshiba Corporation and its used by Vestel or its subsidiary for products described here in under license from Toshiba Visual Solutions Corporation. I have heard that the higher end Toshiba gear is made by a different company to the £250 40" etc stuff, so this may be an OK TV. That wasn't the point I was making though. Just sticking a deal up with "Toshiba 75 £1199.98" or whatever, just sounds, and no offence to the op, their first deal, learning curve and all that, a bit lazy.

Skippy Peanut Butter Smooth 1.13kg at Costco Leicester. Can't see this online. Attaching reciept.

That article states that pain oil is bad, but other oils are worse. Buying the meridian peanut butter solves that conundrum, as it is made from 100% peanuts, so no oil at all is required (except the natural peanut oil).

Niz

any palm oil experts have an opinion on this? http://thegreenvegans.com/why-palm-oil-is-bad-but-boycotting-it-even-worse/

Hilazing

Peanut butter is not the greatest product in general. Packed full of unnecessary salt, sugar and/or palm oil. Meridian do a very nice peanut butter made with nothing but peanuts. Having said that, if you want the salty/sugary/palm oily ones, this is a good price, so have some heat.
