How do you know it's not in the women's bogs too? :p

The deal is 20% off 4 tyres and a maximum of 2 deals, so that;s 8 tyres in total that will be discounted. I think ATS are running a similar promo with the posters in the gents bogs on some motorway services.

Michelin Energy Saver , the latest offering from the company, and a tyre which is the most cutting edge producit out there, is worth even paying the normal price. But this deal, makes it even sweeter. I got 4 tyres for £154, all inclusive. I was quoted more than £280 for the same set from high street chains. And , wow what a tyre, specially since i moved from dunlops and goodyear. Get it , while stocks last!!!

If you can find a fitter locally then are very competative for tyres and generally beat mytyres and blackcircles for sizes I am looking for 225/35/18 or 225/40/18's I've bought from them in the past and they came next day.

Like dashforth I use the mobile fitter option, but Event Tyres don’t cover my areas, both work or home. are just as if not more competitive for good branded tyres that come to you. The service I have recieved from various discount tyre fitters promted me to look for an alternative and I couldnt be happier with the service I received.

Same model now £497 inc VAT at PC World but doesn't have the 5 year warranty

how does this compare to the sony S series range guys?

Hi Newbie here...... Has anyone got this deal yet at Costco? I was in yesterday and the price was £575 inc VAT which is the same as it been for a while. How do you get the £516.99 price?

Just politely enquiring, is it ok to post wholesalers deals on here, it's just I have not posted any, because I thought it would be a case of "not everybody can benefit from these offers". I thought it was just mainstream ( high street dealers ) offers we were allowed to post on here, so as everyone benefited from the deal. I don't meen to be picky, it's just that if we are allowed to post wholesalers deals, I may look into posting some myself. Or would I get shot down in flames for posting them. Don't take this post the wrong way, I am just seeking some advice Any info appreciated thanks.:thumbsup:

As far as I'm aware Makro still have the company only policy. Costco have been letting individuals join for a few years now. I have a few friends that have joined this way, but find it a pain that they aren't allowed in until the coffee and cakes have been put away:-D

I wasn't aware that this is the case - strange, have Makro also relaxed their rules on membership too? It's good news if anyone can join though, I'll get rid of the people added to my membership :-)

Why is this expired? I bought 2 from Chester for £211 each.... at 8:30 pm. they still had 5 left.

Called up the Thurrock (Lakeside) branch. The guy on the phone said they only have 80gb for £340 with 2 games. Sold out of 40gb.

I went in the Oldham store today and they had loads, the only problem is they where charging £294. I then went to the Old Trafford store and they had none in stock other than the 80gb version.

thanks anyone that can help and get me one or let me know when tesco have them offer would be greatly appreciated

For those who can't get to a Costco, I have seen these reduced to similar prices in both Tesco and Superdrug at various time, so if you can be patient you may get one there. i have used these and they are okay - like having a really good facial scrub - but like everything you have to keep using them to get the full benefit, and it is a bit of a faff to use.

Sorry I have not got time to put it in a separate post , I hope you don't mind me doing this advert - but I have been to Home Bargains (Leeds Crossgate) today and saw some Roc Maternity products : Roc Maternity Anti-Stretch Marks 150ml Cream at 3.99GBP Roc Maternity Anti-Stretch Marks 150ml Oil also at 3.99 GBP I believe it is a BARGAIN, when I was pregnant I was paying around 5GBP for Palmers cocoa butter. I am not easily surprised, but being brought up on sterilised milk, (a working-class North East thing!) which most people retch at the mere thought of, I thought I was the only person who can stomach UHT milk to drink (as opposed to in tea or coffee). It is milder but similar in taste than sterilised, but even I don't actually "like" it, and only have it at home for emergencies or cooking when you don't notice so much as it is being heated anyway, as that is what gives it it's odd taste.

its about 79p in sainsburys a litre ... I think for UHT milk its got a great taste when cold, I got one in a free moving home box that was listed on here...

I've tried this milk and it tastes disgusting. If anyone can drink 6 litres of this stuff then they deserve a Bodum jar as a prize.

Just found this on the net, seems like you need a one-4-all remote to do it though, if anyone can confirm this works before I try and get hold on one would be ace! Taken from Region code hack posted by markjtnet, July 04 2008: This is a pretty standard hack for Sony; I did it using my Kameleon 6 but it should work as long as you can assign codes to individual keys on your one-4-all remote. 1. Hold down magic key (top hat)until rabbit comes out 2. Select device set 3. Press DVD button 4. Input code 0533 5. press ok, you have now set the standard DVD remote code Program buttons 1-5 with the following codes: 1. 00189 2. 00255 3. 00095 4. 00221 6. 00079 On the Kameleon you do this by..... 1. Hold down the magic key untill the rabbit comes out 2. Select key magic 3. Press DVD icon 4. Press magic key 5. Enter the 5 digit code from above 6. Press the corresponding button to program that individual key with that code 7. Repeat steps 1 to 6 for all 5 keys Try your new code: 1. Remove any disks and put player into standby 2. Press 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 and success should be displayed on the LCD and the unit will power up 3. Not sure if this step is needed but again press 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 and the player shuts down Et voila one heck of a multi region DVD player.

got this yesterday, great machine, voted hot. I like the bravia sync facility with my sony lcd too which turns the tv on and plays the dvd in just one button press! Anyone found a multiregion hack for this yet?!

Weird - I just tried mine and it definitely didnt.

Oh right, i have not yet signed up if i went down and got a card, i have been meaning to for a while would i get the voucher straight away? thanks.

Accurate guess. In addition to what I listed - she got housy things too - and it was well over nine hundred quid in total.

Bought and installed. Also got breakfast for three pounds something for two, in addition to picking up 180 litres of fuel for the car costing £162 and used the boxes for the fuel to save me tidying out the rear of the car (which is really used as a van) to shove the TV on top. Also ordered a birthday cake, got 20 litres of 10W40, olive oil, and the ***** looked at their engagement rings pointing out how nice the gazillion pound one looked. What was she hoping for??? - I had saved her making breakfast!!! 12 miles return trip with fuel at 90p a litre is likely to cost £1.08 So if you want to work in the price of a Costco card - did you work in the annual rental for your phone? :whistling: :whistling: - its just as unrealistic. Generally I try to avoid american companies, however see Costco as a form of compensation for tolerating americans. :-D :-D

problem with costco is you wont just buy the telly you'll have a tray of those nice cakes and 12 bottles of wine and a chicken bake and 2 dozen bottles of fairy liquid etc etc etc and before you know it your down a grand it is a good deal though if you are capable of walking past the cake section:whistling::thumbsup: dont think john lewis do cakes

A reminder for any one interested that this deal is on at Costco this week, ending on Sunday. You don't need to take the discount voucher with you (I forgot mine) they scan the discounted price at the checkout. Bought mine today and very pleased with my purchase.

If you are a costco member, just ask for the discount at the check out. I never have to give them the actual coupon.

Just to let you guys know, you dont need a voucher, inside the Costco store they have the 'Passports' which contain the vouchers ten a penny. And as for the opinions on this TV, I had a brief look on AV Forums and most people were raving about its picture quality.... Yes it is, my sis had a laptop for a month or so and then later returned it when a newer cheaper model came out. We have also utilised the 5 year warranty, on a previous Sony telly which went kaput a month before the end of warranty, we simply returned it and bought the latest one there :D Long live Costco's customer service and returns policy.

Anyone know the deal on buying one today, then returning it in 2 weeks when the deal is on, refunding then re-buying? I know they have a 90 day return policy, is it no quibble./ no matter what reason policy I need a tv now cos my old one broke last night. Deeyup

Ok, I'm confused! I understadn that this TV might be a lesser model, but is it good value for money? I just want a decent enough tv for my front room, but can't afford much more than this

There is at least one in London. It's in Edmonton, easily visible from the A406 between the Crooked Billet and Cooks Ferry roundabouts.

I really cant see this happening at our Manchester Branch. Always rubbisht there :o(

Costco have a policy where an offer is valid across all stores, (except display model), even if they have not updated at your local store. The trick is to call head Office at Watofrd (01923 225449) and speak to the Buying department. Tell them you want your local store to honour the deal at Cardiff; they will call the local store manager and arrange this for you and them call you back. Always keep the name of the person you spoke to at Watford and also confirm who they spoke to at your local store. In fact they are also likely to just send out a price change across the board. I've done this dozens of times at Thurrock. Hope this helps.

The 2nd advisor didn't see a problem in re-joining when the tv broke down, then calling them. Does anyone have a copy of the warranty they can quote from to see if the correlates.

£372.98 delivered using discount code EM4744 (user name "edsave") on Empiredirect but NOT with 5 yr warranty. Some people might be prepared to risk it for the saving. Heat added for the OP and as I'm a Costco member I might pick one of these up next time I pop over for some loo roll!

Thanks

Currently there are no Twin Freeview DVD Hard Drive recorders!

And out of stock. The OP found us a good deal which we should be happy with, yet people feel the need to go out of their way to find something 'better'.

The SVP one is a refurb...

Just note this is not a dual digital recorder. It has one digital and one analogue, so in a few years after the switchover it will be only have a single tuner which is able to work.

does anyone know if watford have any in stock at the mo or any other costco within the m25 area. I paid £30 today to costco Reading then noticed that they didnt have this in stock! doh! disappointed as the range in store wasnt as competitively priced as i'd expected..

£2 extra per year for a warranty is not cold imo. Batteries for the remote will cost you more than that every 12 months! For anyone interested, Watford still do not have availability.

is it that price now thought inc delivery?? also liek i said you dotn get the same warrenty i am now looking for a similar tv for around £350 if anyoen can help?

mine cost £367.99 delivered. I don't have to pay costco £29 and I'm allowed to shop at dixons.

are they still doing it in dixons with delivery isnt it the same price if not more and that doesn't include 5 year warrenty???

I have an older version and it works brilliantly - not used the upright since. Voted hot as this is cheaper than Makro (£150)

Does anyone know where I can get one of these (other than using CostCo voucher/membership) for less than £170 online?

I find that most new visitors and many who have been before often love to watch it work. I find myself doing it at times too, I like to try and work out it's logic that it's using when it runs into edges.

What - a wife? The novelty will soon wear off ;-)

I have a very keen interest in Artificial Intelligence. Thus automated robots fall into this. iRobot do not make shoddy products, they make quality machines. Its like buying a Volks Wagon Golf VR6 compared to a Fait 126. Obviously you pay the extra but its nearly always worth it. iRobot are always updating and improving their products yearly because they make so many new advances and it gets cheaper. I don't have one and I am very tempted by this - for me this is hot even as a non-voucher holding costco customer @ £160.99!

u get them from costco, as u walk in they will be by the door or at the tills

Does anyone else have a voucher please?

2 weeks with this Bravia and generally pleased. One issue - flesh tones - faces - usually have a rather pink / red hue which I cannot adjust. Strangely, HUE control is not possible for TV source signal. Other picture settings don't help much. I can just about live with this, but perhaps there's a fix.

Thanks ribena. I've just tried the software and the discount seems to work without any need for a membership number. I've updated my post.

I have a few photo books designed on through this website and they really are of very high quality. The costco link provides a modest further discount to that which is already available....good if you are ordering something under £20. Other sites may be cheaper, but these books are certainly better quality and will last. Thanks for pointer. Although i am a costco member, don't think that you need to be to avail this offer.

This is the latest model that has been released recently and has a higher contrats ratio than the previous generation. Its available at John Lewis now for 749, so I'd say this deal is HOT !

Yes I am. I concede that on video games you may notice a bit of difference, but on your run of the mill BR or HD DVD, you won't notice the difference regardless of how far you sit.

Are you saying that from experience? I would say that it depends on how far away you sit from the TV... The closer you sit the more you are going to notice it.

Do you think? I'd advise people to not fall for the hype. There really is no discernible difference between 720p and 1080p on a 32in panel. Not to the human eye anyway!

Might be good if you game a bit closer to the TV than you watch movies. Otherwise I agree. On the other hand, 32" 1920x1800 computer monitor with built-in TV ...

Orlando08: "The price is why people are voting cold...... £470 for a tramploine isn't exactly HOT ........" The deal is what's supposed to be rated i.e. the price for this particular item. Otherwise a Fiat Punto for £9k is going to get more heat than a Ferrari Enzo for £32k

I agree. and they're a whole lot quieter (apart from the kids)

thanks OP, was a useful thread to read. 1.67 lenses for $35 at fantastic

dazzy b, the way your lenses are made are thicker in the middle then thinner at the edge(all plus lenses like this, -ve lenses the other way around), so if you were to go for rimless in order to make the edge thick enough to drill through and secure you would end up making the centre extra thick!!!

Thanks for the tips guys, I can't wear contacts 'cos of a high astigmatism (I've wasted money on two pairs in the past). Yeah, I know they have weighted lenses, and hard lenses should also be good for me, but I persevered, and it wasn't the irritation that put me off it was the poor vision with both types!!! And laser surgery isn't a great option for long-sighted people - yeah I know they say it can be done, believe me I've spent many hours investigating, but the conclusion I've come to is that the chances of success are not high and the chance of complications is considerable, most of the high-street people wont touch prescriptions like mine, so the cost ... I think I'll get a costco pair, and also order a pair from one of the cheap online alternatives so I can compare, prepare yourselves for my written comparison at a later date!!! Thanks again

I used optimax. There are risks with any operation but I'm happy that I have perfect sight and should only need reading glasses in the future. A collegue at work had his done 20 years a go and still has perfect vision.

Simon0w - which company did you use? I thought it might be the 2,000 + price for laser treatment?

Fake some business correspondence and your golden :-) It used to be anyone could get a Makro card and nobody could get a Costco card, but it's switched 180 these days. I dont own my own business but have done a little design work and made up my own business card and letterheads a while ago for myself, so I just thought I would chance it, take it down to Costco with my £23 membership fee, and that was it. Tried the same at Makro - pretty much impossible unless you are VAT registered or provide real business proof - business checks/business account statements etc. Might try this twist out though if it's a bit like shandy... I like the odd pint at the boozer but a shandy kind of drink goes down well anytime - day or night, meal or not.

Lol, i'll take your word on that.

Australians have scarecely heard of Fosters. It does actaully taste of kangaroo ****. Cheap though.

BBE May - bought 3 crates yesterday, down to 2 now lol, so I doubt they'll last til 31st May !!
