just purchased these cowin e7 bluetooth noise cancelling headphones for £65.99 and while doing so i also purchased a pair of cowin e7 Bluetooth headphones £49.99 for my daughter xmas pressie
but amazon have an offer on the cowin headphones were you save 50% if buying the cowin he8 wireless earbuds £79.99 and also the hard case £19.99 but as buying 2 sets of headphones the discount comes off twice
all these headphones get great reviews online

Add the HE1 in ear airbuds as well and you get them for £9.99 instead of £19.99 so 4 headphones and case for £133.95

Good spot.

glitch price

great spot

The Cowin E7 was recently on sale at Amazon.com for $39.99 (£30). Yes that's the US site but not entirely a great deal

i dont get how this works

its ok ive worked it out

Out of interest, I had a look on CEX to see if there was any easy profit to be made if I only wanted to keep one set and...there isn't. They will buy the E7s for £17 cash each (£25 voucher) and the H8s for £23 cash (£33) voucher).

Incidentally, they also sell both ("A" standard, which is usually new) for less than the Amazon price, so unless you want all of these headphones brand new, I'd go to CEX.

Obviously that's only CEX, you might have better luck on Ebay if you want to flip the ones you don't want.

Yeah maybe

I wouldn't pay the glitch price for poor quality cans.

"all these headphones get great reviews online" - there's a reason for that, spot the similarities between the reviews, they're fake. The headphones are a cheap brand. Check if you can find any glowing in-depth reviews from the usual like headfi.org etc.

I wouldn’t buy anything that had the word glitch in it. It means the product doesn’t work correctly - unless you mean misprice.......

I think this is actually a glitch. Their system shouldn't be discounting certain combinations of products, but it is. There is a problem with the system calculating the discounts, which is colloquially known as a glitch.

If the items were individually for sale for £30, that would be a misprice (although for this product, a cheap poor quality chinese brand, £30 is probably about right :D)

Pardon? Not sure why my better half would be interested in an illiterate 14 year old.

Hopefully you can understand:
Word forms: plural glitches
countable noun
A glitch is a problem which stops something from working properly or being successful.
[informal]
Manufacturing glitches have limited the factory's output.

Sambat41 s ago

Ok, you’d if that’s what you want to believe.....

I rest my case.

That describes exactly what happened here. The system to calculate discounts is not working properly

You can look at it that way if you want to justify your error

Is there a block button? I can't find it

Similar name to Cowon the known audio device company so could be playing on that?

Forget the promotion. I need some cheap noise cancelling headphones to help me studying. I don't care about sound quality. I'm going to put some pink noise to block the noise out. Has anyone tried them?

Cowin is a cheap Chinese brand like many on Amazon. Why would anybody pay £60+ for a pair of these cans? You can get OEM noise cancellation cans for less from 7daystore or Amazon.

Aye, they're OK. Nowt special, as you might expect from a chinese mass producer. A lot better than some of the cheap crap tho, despite the total dismissal of commenters above.

FYI, Cowin have a very long history of messing up their promotions. In fact, I feel I should apologise for the fact that this promo error isn't more generous. You used to get the double 50% discount on 14 items, meaning £550 of stuff for about £115. Add to that, some of the promotions were replicated - with a couple of items you got the 50% discount for both the E7, and the E7 (ANC set), and then another 50% discount just because. So adding these items to your basket wasn't just free, it actually reduced the total payable.

All in all, you could get £550 of gear for £86. Which I did, 30 times. Since then, they've tightened things up a bit...
