Hey, this is my first deal here. So Cowon is known for their great PMP's and the Z2, released just a few months ago seems to follow that tradition. It's fufilled by Amazon too and we all know how good Amazon customer service is. Seems like a great deal and much better than the 32gb version which is a whopping £100 more. Instead you can just purchase a 16gb micro SD card for under £10.

Welcome to HUKD

I still have my D2, which still trumps most mp3 players out there today. Unfortunately people will still go out and buy iPods. They don't know what they're missing.

I've heard loads of good things about Cowon but I've never actually purchased one untill now. I've been meaning to get a new mp3 for a while, now that my music collection has vastly increased but couldn't find the right one. I would have got the J3 but it felt too old so I was waiting it out and would have bought a Walkman ages ago if it didn't annoyingly miss out a micro SD card slot.
Spend the extra 50 notes and get the X7.

Cowon Android devices have a poor reputation.

This review from just a month ago shows it's not bad at all for the price listed trustedreviews.com/cow…e-3 it was reviewed at £220 so I think £150 is good value. The X7 is two years old and seems to chunky, and tbh I can't afford the extra £50. I'm really only interested in playing music on it so I'll probably avoid the problems of using it as an Android device.
not bad considering the price , Very active in sports .. so this Cowon wouldn't do , For an android enabled device I'd rather go for something like the similarly priced tough as nuts waterproof, shockproof , dustproof Xperia Active ( now replaced by the xperia Go),

not voted either way

p.s looking for a fully featured media player? then just buy a cheap compact PAYG android mobile phone (49£ galaxy Y or mini ) from Carphone or such like and you've got a defacto Media player that has a lot of extra features

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but I'm really only buying this for it's music playing capability. The other things are just a bonus. Otherwise I'd probably go for the iPod Touch. An Andriod phone wouldn't be a great idea for me anyway because I use my mp3 a lot and me listening to my music would just drain the battery which isn't a great idea for a phone. This pmp is really for people who want a dedicated music player.

I hear your views but have been using the SK17i phone as a dedicated music player (with all radios turned off and in airplane mode, no widgets , skinny app drawer)
..lasts ages as an mp3 player which is all I use mine for
...still each to his own,
thank you
