CPC Farnell: FREE standard 3-5 days delivery from today for a limited time - NO minimum order value

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Just noticed today that CPC are offering completely FREE delivery on everything for a limited time & NO minimum order value. As you can see their usual "over £8 (ex VAT)" restriction has been deliberately scored off...

Their Bargain Corner is also worth a look if you're having difficulty finding anything to buy (but don't feel obliged to buy simply because there's free delivery!)

"Get it free
  • We offer free standard 3-5 day delivery on all UK mainland online orders over £8 (ex VAT).Hurry – this can’t last!
  • Same day dispatch when you order before 6pm on a weekday.
  • Orders submitted on a Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched the next business day.
  • Items on backorder will be dispatched as soon as they arrive back in stock.
  • Goods will be delivered by Royal Mail or a courier if the weight or value of the goods is high.

Please note
  • Offer does not include direct ship accounts – standard terms and conditions apply.
  • Some orders may get to you next day if that is the most efficient way for us to send it.
  • This method means we will deliver in the most efficient way for our warehouse, not necessarily the quickest.
  • If you would like to specifically request a timed delivery or courier service, we will charge you for the value listed against the option you select.
  • Free delivery only applies for the FREE standard delivery (3-5 days) option.
  • Surcharges are applicable for orders delivered to non-UK mainland addresses. If a surcharge is required you will be advised before your order is dispatched."

Be warned, you will receive a new catalogue every weekend, and you will browse it
CPC = legends. I complain to the Mrs about the constant mini catalogues, but secretly love reading them.
If you're after some batteries, try adding either 06 or 69 to the product order code and it might further reduce the price, for example 20 x AA alkaline batteries BT06306 are usually £4.90 inc VAT but adding 06 or 69 to BT0630669 reduces the price to £4.19 inc VAT.

Only if you are incompetent of navigating a web page and cancelling the catalogue. I only received two, when the second one arrived I started looking for a way to stop them, it wasn't hard. Two clicks

Do they seriously credit check on a £1.10 order paid with PP?

An email has been sent confirming the order you have just placed.

Your order is subject to credit check and authorisation.

Depends how you pay I guess. Have always used my debit card when ordering from them, so never had that before.

No, I think that's a standard reply for all orders. I order thousands from them and still get a warning that my account address is pending approval or suchlike.... it's been like that for years.

Has anyone found a way to search within bargain corner?

Has anyone found a way to search within bargain corner?

I recall someone here said they copied the whole page into excel then sorted by product/ price etc although I'm not sure how it helps as it's already sorted to some degree.

If I'm looking for a specific item I'll do a search on the webpage for a keyword using CTRL F in Chrome browser.

Do you leave reviews for anything spannerzone? One of their terms to leaving reviews is as follows...

Would you happen to know if 'competitor' means competitor to CPC only, or also competitor to the product being reviewed? I'm ok with the former, but I'm going to mention another brand's product for comparison in a review.

Yes I've left a lot of reviews on CPC... I don't specify the price or rival suppliers or products, other than perhaps saying 'it was the cheapest price online' or 'it seems the best type in this range' or such like. I keep reviews short and to the point and don't talk about delivery times etc... just the product. I would avoid comparing to other specific sellers, manufacturers and giving price info.

I recommend leaving reviews, they select a review every month and give £50 credit to spend there... I've won twice! - I assume so few people bother that I'm one of the 10 people that do...hehehe.

Note that if you review a product that is discounted, such as the battery deal I mentioned, your review is only seen on the discounted price page and when that discount ends, your review goes.... so it's best to leave a review on the non discounted page (usually remove the last 2 digits on the product code)

No, don't intend going against any of that, except comparing one brand's product to another - as they look identical in every way, shape & form but not in actual usage/quality. If a review gets rejected, is one allowed to post an edited review leaving out the brand names? If you know...thanks again

I've not had a review rejected but I can tell you that once you submit, it goes to be moderated then appears a few days later...you can not edit a review once you've submitted even if you wanted to change the review to be more positive! - I left a poor scoring review for a connector and I clearly had a bad batch... I tried ordering again and the next batch was fine but I couldn't adjust my review. I suppose I could have emailed them.

On the odd occasion a delivery has gone wrong they've always been helpful, in one example I received my items and another box full of items I didn't order (or pay for), I called them and they asked what was in the box and told me to keep the contents..... probably £20 worth of bits
Thanks
Searching for the cheapest useful item....

Nice! Bought a bunch of batteries. Can never have enough AAAs for remotes! The ‘69’ trick worked too!
Thank you for posting
CPC seems to have gone to the dogs from what it once was. I had a succession of products that would embarrass a pound shop, so don't buy any more.

Happy to report the 3/5 review I posted only 1½ hrs ago mentioning & comparing it to a competing product has just gone live! Received an email to say so, which I wasn't expecting, so very positive experience
Great deal but don't need any extension cords at the minute
What i wanted was just under £8 so this came in handy, thanks

I don't get the enthusiasm to buy the cheapest item unless you're trying to put them out of business or ensure they'll never put this offer on again

Searching for the cheapest useful item....

Why? Just buy what you need.
Edited by: "chocci" 20th Sep 2019
The trick with the last 2 digits on any order is to keep a note of the order codes in the previous catalogues. You can find the item without these 2 digits, then experiment using the previous last 2 digits, it's not even end of line stuff that won't be in the next catalogue? A very bizarre business model that I have taken advantage of many times before.
If people really wanted to be stupid and take this offer utterly litterally to the point of madness they'd order many many separate orders of their 1 pence components. Of course doing that is utterly pointless and should be condemned! - however, CPC are offering free delivery on everything so they're taking on the risk willingly and must expect losses on some orders.
