Product Description

The CPR Call Blocker model is preprogramed with 200 known numbers which have been allocated as nuisance callers and will block any call originating from any of these numbers. The CPR call blocker will also reject any caller that is withholding their number, so you will minimise any sales calls immediately.

A unique ‘Block Now’ button is located on top of the unit which when pressed, cuts off a caller in their prime with the number logged into its memory and permanently blocked.

Our CPR Call Blocker is ideal if you don’t want any more calls from Silent Calls, PPI Calls, Robo Calls, Recorded Messages, Overseas Call Centres, Harassment calls, Malicious Calls, Junk Faxes, Withheld numbers, International Numbers, VOIP Numbers & Unavailable Numbers.

It’s easy to set up and works with any home phone line, even if you have additional handsets or have a broadband connection.

The CPR Call Blocker is pre-programmed with more than 200 numbers which are 'deemed' as known nuisance callers. Companies which are selling by phone, using overseas call centres and automated sales lists are all pre-programmed which will minimise the sales calls you receive almost immediately.

The ‘Block Now’ button is located on the top of the unit. At the touch of a button the unwanted caller’s number is logged into the unit’s memory, the call will hang up and the number blocked permanently. This feature allows you to block up to 1000 unwanted callers as they are calling you.

This is an excellent system, but you may find it won't work with Panasonic phones (a known problem).

these might be stupid questions but i'll ask anyway:
does this work with portable handsets?
does it work when there's more than one phone in the house?

Sad that these are required (TPS are useless) but probably £32.50 very well spent.

I discovered In can block numbers on my ordinary Panasonic cordless (I am with BT so caller display seems to be standard). I can't block international or withheld however.

Hot for me.

A must for buisness users that get nuisance calls of which I get so many.

Not a stupid question.

The unit is plugged in between the phone and the connection, so you'll have to be next to it to block the call. This means if the socket is downstairs and you are upstairs, you have to go to the unit to operate it.

The following Amazon Reviewer may have come up with a way of dealing with the Panasonic DECT compatibility issues:

I wish I had bought this a year ago., 8 Dec 2011

This review is for: CPR All-in-One Call Blocker (Accessory)

This device is absolutely brilliant. I would get Indian call centres ringing me from everything from selling me credit cards to insurance claims and at most was getting 30 calls a day thanks to AOL, everytime I complained about something I seemed to get another Indian call centre harrassing me, in total I received calls from 11 different companies.

I tried to get these calls barred but did not have any success. I had for the last few months actually switched my ringer off so I wouldn't have to hear the my phone ringing all the time.

This call blocker has worked immediately, When I saw the number I just pressed the call block, usually when I hang up on these people they just ring back constantly until I answer and hear all of their sales pitch and I waited for them to ring back and 3 days later still no call from them. I only wished I had given them a piece of my mind before I blocked them permanently.

I see from some reviews that people have said that this blocker does not work on their phones, I have a cordless Panasonic DECT phone and my caller ID is displayed on my phone and not my base unit, and would like to explain a bit about this device.

This call blocker has 2 line sockets, LINE 1 and LINE 2 and on the other side of the device is 2 telephone sockets, TEL 1 and TEL 2. First you put the appropriate cables in the LINE 1 and TEL 1. If this does not work, like it did not for me, you put the appropriate cables in the LINE 2 and TEL 2 sockets and this should work as it did for me. It is important that you do not mix the sockets, i.e LINE 1 with TEL 2. I have not had any problems with my caller id not working or anything else that has been mentioned in the negative reviews.

Do not give your money to your call providers to block nuisance calls as it is them who sell your information to these companies for money so their not going to stop their revenue and on top of that they make money from their customers whilst not actually doing anything about the problem.

Bought one of these last year for about £50 and it's worth every penny. Used to get dozens of nuisance a day now I only get the odd one every now and again which is easily blocked.

I Paid £39.99 for mine from Argos 6 weeks ago.

Blocks international calls by default (the way I've arranged it) and each and every cold caller that isn't in their inbuilt list of 243 numbers gets added with a simple press of a button.

Money well spent in my case.

Oh and yes, I have a Panasonic quadphone system.

ordered thanks

Is Wazzocks a technical term for something!?

TPS (Telephone Preference Service) is not useless, but it isn't watertight either. Foreigners are not affected by the scheme and a few UK people ignore it (illegally). It's still worth signing up.

My remaining call problems, apart from foreigners, are UK businesses I once bought something from. They are supposed to stop calling if you tell them to, but that would require some kind of organisation on their part, and they aren't motivated. I would advise you never to buy anything from Laithwaites wines (very persistent lately) or the Telegraph newspaper group.

I had good results with TPS. They need to change it to include these auto calls and sales robots though, for some reason they don't count as nuisance calls.

Another thumbs up from me. Saw these in Maplins and got one a few weeks back... Think it was £39.

Our Panasonic dect phone can block numbers you add to it but it only has space for 100 and it's full!

Since adding this (using line2 and tel2 as above) we've had hardly any nuisance calls compared to 3 or 4 a day. We get maybe one a week now, which if the number shows we can block.

Thumbs down I have Panasonic sect phone's

I didn't even know something like this existed!
shame it's needed but so many nuisance callers these days!

Can it block my ex wife ?

Apparently, as stated above, if you use Line 2 : Tel 2, Panasonic phones work with this unit.

I have a work around for this. Don't answer your phone again... #reclusive

Nooo, these take the fun out of getting your pretend ailing grandma out of bed whilst you ask them to wait.

If I don't recognise the number on caller id, I don't answer it, cost, FREE.

Apparently so,
Got to laugh at this

‘Block Now’ button is located on top of the unit which when pressed, cuts off a caller in their prime with the number logged into its memory and permanently blocked.

Not sure how well this would go down with your ex wife but be great for mother in laws

You have caller ID? what is the sorcery?!

I can confirm that this is an excellent device, I've had one for about three years (bought it for £60 at the time) and liked it so much I bought one for my mother-in-law, who was also being pestered with nuisance calls - she loves it as well.

£32.50 cheaper, unplug your landline

200 is barely worth bothering with.

I have Panasonic Dect phones by-the-way, you just need to use the second connection rather than the first.

was trying to remember the name of the one that was on Dragons Den..

I just pretend I'm mentally challenged "ohh im so glad you called its been so long since anyone has called me will you be my friend" I constantly interrupt them in the end they hang up on me lol and for the we see on our data base you recently had a car accident I say ohh yea'h that was my brother 6 months ago he was killed that stops them in their tracks..ohh ohh im sorry.. they hang up. I know there only doing a job but I do like to wind them up.Im sad and think its fun lol

Me too... Love playing with them, when I have the time, not tried your first example...... But will.... Come on phone ring!

Does anyone know if this will work with cordless phone sets that have a main base unit and additional handsets, such as:

cordless-phones.uk.com/cor…ACA

Also, if anyone has one does it block those silent empty calls that show up with a number as "0" or just 5 or 6 random digits? I presume overseas robo-callers use this as a way of getting around witheld number blocking.

Cheers
