Craft Gin Club - Spend £40 or more and get £20 back with American Express Rewards

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

A version of this was posted a few days ago but due to pricing issues
with the club it didn't make any sense to use the Amex deal. This
version now makes it worthwhile.

Found a way to make this work in a better way. You need the Amex offer on your account to benefit.

1. Sign up for newsletter at Craft Gin Club. This gets you a 50% discount on your first order.

2. When you are a member you can then shop in the members section which
is not avaiable to non-members. Very easy to spend £40 there on gins
and mixers. Spend the £40 you get the £20 Amex discount

Don't forget topcashback for 10% off as well

The problem with the orginal deal is that there is a 30% discount code on
the site which made it impossible to spend the £40 as there non-members
shops doesn't allow more than one thing in the basket.

Is it the same as this one that went cold. …Is it the same as this one that went cold. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/amex-craft-gin-club-spend-40-or-more-and-get-20-back-3292720

No its completely different. The reason it was cold was the deal couldn't be used. This explains just how to take advantage and get a 50% off from the club.
Oh, so you need to spend £20 on the first box, then also spend £40 (then you get a £20 credit)

?

You sign up and get a 50% discount off your first box. Therefore you are getting around £55 of goods for £20. Then you buy Gin and mixers in the online shopping worth £40 and you get £20 back from Amex. Therefore in total you spend £40 and get goods to the value of £95.
But you can’t see what’s on offer in the shop, without first signing up to the club and spending £20.

so you might pay the £20 to join and get your first box, then go to the shop to spend your £40 and find out it’s all over priced stuff anyway

I can’t seem to access the shop prior to becoming a member (sign up for box)...how did you do it so you only had one transaction?

Fair point. However ignoring the Amex offer the 50% off the first box is a good deal. The Gins look to be around the £30-35 mark. This is an example
Boatyard Double Gin
ABV 46% 70cl
£34.95

I look at it like this. I have a good gin package for £20. I then have a good bottle of gin plus some free mixer for another £20. The deal is as cold as the ice in the gin but heyho.
Ah I see now
I voted hot by the way
Has anyone tried to register for a monthly box and then see if they can add from the shop in the same transaction?
For anyone who used the offer, it seems to have been added to the Amex cards again.
