I don't find them too bad, especially once they've been washed a few times.
Also, turn them inside out when washing.

What annoys me is they're too baggy in the leg and the front main pockets are too "open".
My keys slide out, when I sit down, for example.

Totally agree here... I have had loads of these and never ever suffered with Lint issues. Even after stupidly washing them with a tissue in the pocket! It looked like a hopeless case, but re-washed they were fine. Only issues I've really got is after time the Velcro on the pockets came un-stitched.
The other being I have had some for so long I no longer fit into them!! Admittedly more my issue than the trousers
