Just got instant refund after phoning Aldi CS. And I don't need to return it!!!!! I just said it wasn't fit for purpose, put me on hold for 2 minutes to speak with line manager and because they couldn't find a courier service they said I didn't need to return

And how does it play? Is it as bad as post before or is it good?

Came here for this comment, was sure it would be useless
Most reviews say it's really good for playing so I'm not sure what the member above is talking about. Maybe some details on why it's terrible instead of just saying it's bad?
The table is very flimsy and the tension on the mesh is variable at different places making the ball bounce completely unpredictable and uncomfortable to play. You'll get fer up with it after 10 minutes. The bats are rock solid and heavy and quite difficult to hit the ball with with any degree of accuracy.

It’s to get kids outside in the garden. It’s not a pro table but for £15 my daughter bought it just needs her sister to stop whacking the ball like in rounders
Is this full competition size?

I think you probably have a net made incorrectly or havnt assembled it correctly ? Reviews are all positive apart from one which may be you ? One guy who sounds like he knows what hes on about said its net is very taught all over and has a good bounce and most others mention it being hard to push together but solid and strong when finally built properly so maybe your poles are pushed all in correctly ? Just a thought
The table is supposed to be solid, how does the ping pong ball bounce on mesh?! *_*

I wish I had applied your logic before wasting my money on this thing. Yes, it is something to get the children outside in the garden but they will spend more time bouncing the ball off the grass rather than on this so called table. Complete waste of space.
Mine arrived already open and bits hanging out - typical Hermes mishandling I bet. I refused to accept delivery and the guy just turned around and left. Then tried to deliver the next day as they correctly assumed I wouldn't be there. However, I knew Hermes would try such a dirty trick and warned the missus not to accept delivery. Sure enough the guy turned up, having taped up the torn box but missus refused to accept it still.

Hopefully it's on its way back to Aldi.
Mine arrived two days ago and I'm quite happy with it. Easy to put together, although the table didn't look like it was going to be flat to begin with. Once all parts were on, it was fine. The ball bounces on the table fine. Easy to transport with the travel bag as well. Thank you for posting.

Ditto. Only complaint is I've noticed that the hook n loop has caught on the mesh pulling the fibres, which could potentially damage mesh!

That's a shame. I'll have to keep that in mind for future reference
