Crash Bandicoot

Dr. Neo Cortex has a plan to take over the world, and he wants to create genetically engineered animals to do his bidding. To create his minions, Cortex kidnaps as many animals as he can; Crash Bandicoot’s girlfriend just happens to be one of his victims. Take control of Crash as he runs, jumps, and spins through 30 levels of intense action on three different Australian islands. Only you can help Crash save the animals, save his girlfriend, and foil Dr. Cortex’s plot.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back

The evil Dr. Neo Cortex is back…out this time to save the world? And he’s asking for help from his arch nemesis, Crash Bandicoot? Is this just a conniving plan to lure Crash into Cortex’s next dastardly experiment? Can Crash win again or will he join Cortex’s mindless zoo? Bigger free-roaming 3-D environments, all-new animations and a whole host of colorful characters – watch as our hero Crash, ice-skates, rodeo-rides a polar bear and jet-packs through zero-gravity in the continuing adventures of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back – This time he ain’t joking!

Crash Bandicoot Warped

Oh yeah…he’s back…AND he’s ready! It’s a Whole New Time-Traveling Adventure! All new-style gameplay action – scuba dive, ride a motorcycle, a baby T-Rex, and go free-roaming airborne in a plane! Play as Coco! Gallop along the Great Wall of China on a tiger, go extreme on a jet-ski and other high-flying surprises! Prove your skills with the new Super-charge Body Slam, Super Slide, Double Jump, Death-Tornado Spin and a Laser-Guided Bazooka. All new enemies include a new Big Boss, Uka Uka, N. Tropy, a menacing Dingodile and of course, the return of some favorites like N. Gin and Tiny. More Action. More Fun. More Puzzles and Secret Levels. And you didn’t think it could get any better!

Oh lovely price and by far the cheapest! Let's see what Base is going to do. (I have Base-o-phobia, I know!)

Edit: From their FAQ:

Payment for order will be captured when we dispatch your items unless your order was placed more than 28 days before the official release date. In this case your payment will be captured within 21 days of your order placed.

NOTE: Although we DO NOT immediately capture the transaction, some banks reflect the value of the order against your available balance immediately. In this case we have not actually captured the payment; the bank have merely 'reserved' the funds for us. This process is perfectly normal and is referred to as 'pre-authorisation'.

Hmm actually i think it might be £28.79 now instead. With lego worlds they price matched and decreased by 6p.

At the current drop rate, I calculate this will be approximately £2.58 at launch. I'll bite then.

Guys, don't argue. Since I commented here, they will ignore the price and keep their price as it was.

It's not out until the end of June right?

I'm guessing this is going to be a lower price game like Ratchet and Clank PS4 was and Uncharted Trilogy.

I'll wait for £20 shortly after launch.

Had an email from Quidco with £10 cash back bonus so used that with this, effective price £18.85 if it pays out! Cheers op.

Big if there pal.

The only PS4 exclusive that I'm interested in and the only one I'll buy for a long time which is kind of sad as they are essentially just PS1 games. I'll still wait until its on a digital sale which shouldnt take too long as I cant stand physical games anymore.

I hope this gets released on Nintendo Switch!

Yeah they know I'm a fan. X)

Do they take payment on dispatch if I pay by PayPal?

Don't get your hopes up.

Pity there's no crash team racing on it.

IME Paypal always means you pay on the spot, with the exception being using it for subscription type services, may be different at some retailers, but i would personally always assume paypal = pay immediately to be safe...

Ok will use card how are these guys for delivery

No way it would happen without some kind of Sony - Nintendo agreement, which is slightly less likely than flying pigs. These first three crash games (well 4 with CTR) were Playstation exclusives, think of it as Sony's Mario, now do you think Nintendo are going to share Mario or Zelda with Sony....

I've had a few games from them before, always arrived in good time and been as described, never used them for a pre-order but no reason to assume there would be a problem...

bought cheers! (watch it go to like £25 by the time it's released and we have all been done!)

Does anyone know if this supports co-op local play?

Except Sony don't own Crash, hence the numerous releases on DS & GBA...

Yes, but that was after it was sold off and stopped being made by Naughty Dog. The first three (and ctr) were by naughty dog, which was part of Sony from 2001, so I still think it's just as unlikely to release on anything other than PS4 as I originally said...

I've got a base order but Amazon need to price match.

Cancelled my base preorder and switched to this deal. Also would be awesome if the game gets delivered days before the official release.

I remember in my experience of using PayPal for preorders, GAME take payment on delivery. Had problems before with PayPal not authorising payment for a collectors edition only available in the UK at GAME which cancelled the order, and then I had to pay using bank details direct on GAME. But I use paypal for preorders at other gaming retailers like shopto which worked fine. First time preordering at SimplyGames after hearing great things of how they deliver well before release date.

Nice Price!

I'm looking forward to this, wasn't able to appreciate it until I was a bit older when the first one came out, and the 3rd was just so hard to complete. Should be able to play it with ease now Plus when my kids grown up a bit more they'll be able to enjoy it too, so win win

This isnt even releasing on Xbox. Its in the same situation as the new PS4 Spiderman game thats also exclusive. It isnt happening.

Props to you for pretending Crash Bash never existed lol

Crash is now published by Activision- no matter which platform the originals were published on, the only part of this that Sony own is Naughty Dog- they sold the Crash licence in 2000. There's every chance this will be a timed exclusive.
That said, considering that every retailer is falling hand over fist to sell preorders for this at the cheapest price possible, I get the feeling this will be a disappointing game. It will probably sell gangbusters at first, and then people will remember that Crash hasn't held up well over the years...

Over 4 months to wait though , peeved.

I'm getting this when its on sale on digital.

I'm sure a lot of work goes in to these remasters, but I can't help think it's not just a lazy cash in. Lazy in the sense that they can't be bothered to think of new levels, bosses, attack patterns etc. Still, I guess it brings great old games to new kids. Meh.

Whilst I am looking forward to this set I can't help but feel disappointed it isn't running at 60fps. The whole set should also cost no more than £20, and I'm sure it'll drop to that price shortly after launch.

For people expecting this on other platforms - it's not impossible but it's not likely either. The original three games were developed by Sony and Naughty Dog. If they didn't still own some sort of rights to the game I'm certain we would have seen ports to other systems way before this. Even the PS3 got PS1 classics releases whilst other platforms missed out. Naughty Dog also used a level from Crash in Uncharted 4. I'm pretty certain they didn't need Activision's permission for that and I certainly don't remember them being thanked in the credits.

TLDR - Sony created the original trilogy and likely retained some form of ownership over it. If you want to play the remakes you'll need a PS4.
