In my opinion a good buy for someone with a moped/ small motorbike. Flip front is so useful and its one button operation. Matt black is popular at the Ace Cafe meets.

All Sizes available when posted!!

Features
ECE 22.05 compliant.
Single button unlock flip-up.
Aerodynamic shell design.
Fully adjustable visor and ventilation
Anatomic luxury fitted cheek pads and comfort lining.

The fantastic G-Mac Axis Flip Front Motorcycle Crash Helmet. Built for comfort and designed to be stylish are the key concepts to this helmet. It looks a feels like a full face helmet all with the added benefits of the open face easy access flip front module which can be easily operated with the push of a button.

Only two G-Mac helmets on the SHARPs test results list (this one not shown) but they both score 4 stars out of five so sounds promising for £35.

Doesn't reveal much about the fit or the build quality/finish though

Its a safety helmet not a crash helmet!

Really ?

Why does it say motorcycle crash helmet then ?
People should just buy this and do a few Harlem shake videos!!!
Cool sh1t!
Ordered one for karting. Saves me having to put my head in one of those sweat encrusted monstrosities they supply.
Has anyone got one of these that can advise on the size/fit? I have a HJC R-PHA 10 in MEDIUM (58 cms) which fits me perfectly but my head seemingly does not agree with AGVs which only seem to fit narrow/small head.

Looks like a very reasonable helmet - even if it's just as a spare, can't complain at £35. Great price.

Surely there are lighter, full face non-flip helmets you can buy for around this price which will suit you better for karting?! This will be heavy because it's a system helmet.

LidsDirect always has good bargains, this is where I bought my R-PHA10 for £150!

I have just measured my head and its 60cm right on the border of Large to XLarge.. any advice from any Bikers as to which one I should get please?
Check fit if they offer a returns option. I have been shopping for a new lid the last week or so and have only found two helmets that where instantly comfortable for me in store.
The Box linked above is a good option, tried one on in Fowlers Friday afternoon (but its hugely more expensive than any place else you can buy it), impressed with the quality for the cash, has recent Sharps results, unfortunately for me wrong shape for my round nut!
System flip up helmets are not massively more in weight, the Caberg Duke I have ordered to try is about 20grams more than the Shoe XR10000 it will be replacing
Ideal for Harlem shake

Get a large one as you are better off with a snug fit and the helmet will give a little to fit the shape of your head

Go smaller if it fits OK, the internal padding will compress a little over time, also note that it is sadly completely down to head shaped too. Not all lids are made to the same head shape even ranges from the same manufacturer are different.
Have a browse of webbikeworld.com/mot…htm for more information. I am opting for those in the slight round to see if buying on the net, as my existing lid and the ones I found fitted well are in this group.

I value my head at more than 500 quid which is about top amount for a helmet. It must be about the amount it costs makes it safer, those racing colours which add 200 quid on top of a standard lid are magically making the helmet stronger.....
Thanks Badlad and Bobbler...advice taken

Everything seems heavy compared to my 1250g HJC R-PHA10 - I should've said 'heavier', though.

Very tempted to get one of these just to leave at work as a spare.

It was about the top whack in every bike shop in Bristol and what is available online before you add team colours if we are going to be pedantic about it , sigh.

I'm not following you, why would an unlisted helmet have a similar rating to a listed one? Taking HJC as an example, they have helmets rated from 1 (HJC CS-R1) to 5 (HJC HQ1) stars. Using the manufacturer is not a guide on the test results.

Thanks for the link. To be honest, I'm no feather weight so saving a few grams on a helmet wouldn't make that much difference. I only kart for fun and hate using the supplied helmets.
Wasn't aware you could get helmets as cheap as this, hence ordering the one on this deal. Everywhere else I've looked had them starting at £100+

No one wishes harm on another motorcyle rider do they? This meets a recognized standard, even a top Moto GP rider wasnt saved by his state of the art helmet, it came off. #RIPMarcoSimoncelli
I have a Gmac branded helmet myself and i really like it compare to the old Box one i had. The GMAC I have has a flip down internal sunglasses too and was around this price range.
