Miiiiiiilk! Miiiiiiiiiilk!

good deal, thank you

i can drink too much of this milk.

It's filtered so its purer:thumbsup:
The adverts make me laugh for this milk

this has been on offer for ages now

Is this the 2 or 4 litre size? Do they make a skimmed version?

If 4 litre it's cheaper than their ordinary milk.

I think people are just milking these supermaket offers:w00t:

4 litres...I think your getting a bit mixed up there..I think you mean 4 pints although cravendale don't do 4 pints.. its something like 3.27 pints or something, and thats why I don't buy this stuff because your getting ripped off anyway..:x

Miiiiiiilk! Miiiiiiiiiilk!

Aaargh! "Miiiiiiilk!"

That should help the struggling dairy farmers.

Yes it has - they do offers on this milk very frequently and because it has a long life just stock up when its on offer.

Only thing I don't like is the thick white "bleach like" containers it comes in.......

same price in morrisons aswell

voted hot my son drinks only milk so i will save some money this week!!!!!!

I think the container is something to do with keeping it fresher.
If you check the best before date you'll see it lasts a lot longer than unfiltered milk - seems to taste nicer too, though that could be psychological

if you work out the price per litre of normal tesco milk this does work out cheaper - also they sometimes have special offers on One milk (this tastes like semi skimmed but is only 1% fat) which is nice too.

There is no 4 litre, that would be nearly 8 pints!
It's 2 or 4 pints near enough, this is the 2 litre deal so nearer 4 pints.

Not that long a life, these offers are common, you just need to grab them when they come up.

Unless you freeze it?... (# like a Polaroid picture #)

I never freeze milk cos like all frozen food, you will have to eat/drink it within 24 hours of defrosting because it deteriorates very quickly

Be careful if you do your grocery shopping online, with this offer. Two weeks in a row I ordered these on the special offer, two weeks in a row they didnt even show up on my receipt.... or even the email, very odd. I had to end up paying way over the price for milk from the corner shop :x

The reason for the white opaque containers, rather than the translucent ones we are used to is to block the light hitting the milk - the extends the life of the product by around 2-3 days.

The reason I spend the extra on cravendale is not for gimmicks like "purity" etc, but exactly because of the bleach like containers. When Milk is exposed to light (natural or artificial) it sets of chemical reactions which destroy the vitamins (e.g. vitamin A) that you would have got from it. I think it's totally retarded that many milk containers are see through plastic (in fact most are).

Hot deal!

Does anyone else think Cravendale has a slightly odd 'sterilised' milk taste to it, unlike normal milk?

They sell 2 litre cartons, you get 2 litres

i always thought it tasted...fresher and cleaner somehow? certainly tastes better than other milk. Even better than the milk on my doorstep in a glass bottle when its darn near freezing doesnt taste quite as good.

What will be hot next? A bag of spuds?

Think I'll just walk around the supermarkets with a pen and paper to note down ALL the deals regardless and post them all on here.

ASDA have 6 hot cross buns for 30p at the moment

this is the only milk i buy - shame they dont do a single pint size for when i away for day or night and take milk with me.

Yes you're right, but nobody seems really bothered about the dairy farmers??

k_ish;1755363

Exactly! The only ones that suffer when these deals are around are the producers - read "Shopped" for more info - its made me rethink the BOGOF and the multi-save deals that supermarkets offer. The money certainly doesn't come out of Tescos pocket :x I tend to try and buy Yeo Valley organic - their cows have mint footbaths!

3 weeks now I guess

I don't want 2 litres I want 4 Pints which is well over 2 litres..

Milk is sold in pints in this country not litres...You go in any supermarket or shop anywhere in the UK and you will see milk on sale in 1 pint and 2 pint containers, even 4 pint and bigger 6 pint containers...
Whereas Cravendale milk is sold as 3.51 pints and thats where your getting ripped off..:x
