Mark your calendar for the last few weeks of summer, because it’s time to join in on one of the most uniquely Swedish traditions you’ll ever come across: the crayfish party. Gather your friends and be prepared for messy boiled crayfish, bibs, silly paper hats and lanterns, schnapps, and a whole lot of drinking songs. And don’t forget to keep the next day free, because the better the party, the longer it stretches into the night.

Hi, the link doesn’t take you to the specific page with the info so you may want to add more detail.

It’s Time for Kräftskiva
Thursday 9th August

The “kräftskiva” (Crayfish party) is one of the most important social events in Sweden. Friends gather to feast on crayfish while wearing funny hats, singing and toasting together.

We’re celebrating our very own Swedish Crayfish party in our Restaurant on Thursday 9th August from 5pm to 8pm, and we’d love you to join us.

Tickets are available to purchase in store from the restaurant and Swedish Food Market:
- IKEA FAMILY member ticket: £6.75
- Regular ticket: £9.50
- Child ticket (from 5 to 12 years old): £4.50
Why cold...........these events are great

Heat from me
This is really well hidden: Even with the direct link it does not mention a buffet just a picture of crayfish. With promotion like this the restaurant deserves to be empty but of course it will be full.
BUT.....do the crayfish they serve have any taste? I'm a great fan of crustaceans of all sorts (to eat) actually they are also fascinating to observe, particularly the brilliantly coloured versions of the mantis shrimp. And intelligent.
But shrimps and crayfish from freshwater are virtually tasteless. It's the salt water that gives crustaceans their taste.
Crayfish are AFAIK freshwater only
A wide range of deserts?

Do they have Sahara?
Is this any good?
2 hours drive to ikea on thursday evening put me off
