Even more shades from our archive. Each season, we enhance our Original boots and shoes with additional colours from way-back-when. Our high-shine Patent Lamper 1460 boot stays true to its Original construction: yellow welt stitching, a scripted AirWair heel loop and a tough air-cushioned sole

  • Born on 01.04.60. Named the 1460. Over six decades, our 8-eye work boot has become iconic
  • Patent Lamper is a fine-grained leather, coated to give a high shine, glossy finish. Clean with a damp cloth and restore its shine with Dr. Martens Patent Cleaner
  • Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch

MATERIAL
This fine-grained leather is coated to give a high-shine, glossy finish.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wipe away any dirt using a damp cloth. Allow to dry. To restore shine use Dr Martens Patent cleaner.

CONSTRUCTION
This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.

    " a fine pair of shoes" has Derby boots in their clearance section - I'd buy a set of NPS or Solovairs there instead. The old adage 'buy cheap, buy twice' DEFINITELY applies in relation to these. They won't age went, cannot be polished or cleaned properly and won't be good for your feet.

    The patent leather DM's use is covered in a thick layer of plastic, not pressure tanned with linseed oil like you might get with a more premium boot.
