Well regarded pair of closed back headphones.

Based on a Denon design and well reviewed even when priced nearer £100.

Really really comfortable (great for extended listening) and very decent sounding... very little sound leakage. Always gone back to these...

I have the Denon ones. They sounded great, but the plastic bits that attached the cans to the headband broke on both sides and no amounts of duct tape eventually held them together. The HUKD headphones mountain is too huge for these ... I think.
Great sounding headphones, I got a pair off Amazon warehouse last year and love them. Tempted to get a spare!
I've also got the Denon ones and they are great. I've had a bunch of other headphones in the five years or so since I bought the Denons and they are still my favourites. Highly recommended for this price!

Well spotted!
Newer version of these have been out for a while. Better off going for them or DT770's for closed.

If your after a headset hyper clouds are great for the money

Newer doesn't mean better.

It's a rhetorical question but the answer's kinda useful, the DT770s are £107 on amazon, the Live!2s (that exclamation ma!rk) are £68. Not as cheap as this, but I could see myself stretching for the 2s

The 2s get very similar reviews to the originals. To be honest, I prefer how the originals look. Obviously, headphones that cost three times as much are probably going to be better, but the Aurvana Live! were getting good reviews at full price.

A pet peeve of mine on here is people saying: get these ones that cost three times as much, they are better.

Quite a lot of reviews of the 2 version say they're worse than the original

It's the fact that DT 770s are one of the best closed headphones in the world. Plus they are only £100. Why buy something which is alright when the best can be had for £100.

Open headphones is another ball game. It's £100 where the decent ones start and end game can cost up to £300

£300 is lightyears away from end-game
Funnily enough I replaced the Denons with the Beyerdynamics. Main reason was the metal construction. They are properly bombproof.

No it's not. Price doesn't correlate with quality.

AKG's are end game quality for gaming can be had for as cheap as £80. Usually around £170ish though.

As for music HD650's are pretty much end game. They could be had for £200ish but have now gone up

Individuals goal posts for "end-game" depends on budget, etc. And to top it off. Peoples preferences to audio. There's a ton things to consider when analyzing headphones. Soundstage, stereo imaging, frequency range, etc. You can't say the HD650's are end-game because for someone else, the HD600's could be. With their different character. True end-game is beyond these though. Stax for example and Audeze.
I guess my comment was too vague. My end-game is how much I'm willing to spend on headphones. All headphones sound different, not necessarily "better", but "different". The HD650's are nice but I personally prefer the HD600's. But saying that. I prefer the Fidelio X2's character. More fun sounding. That brings up another point. What are you using the headphones for? You could have a pair for every scenario. It's a mess.

For gaming I prefer open headphones.

It's why I own

HD700
HD600
HD558
AKG Q701
DT770

As well as portables
Hd25-1 ii
Momentum's

I had Fidelio x1 in the past as well as hifiman 400s.

Might get Fidelio X2 in future but heard they sold them off and could be quality issues now
