Find it for £22 and your point is valid

These are great and I have had mine for years. Would recommend 100%

Hey people i'm looking 4 some good quality mp3 over ear headphones (same style as ones above). Around £30-50 price range, any suggestions are very much welcomed!

cold - I have this headset and have subsequently had to buy another pair. They are fine for any time period up to 1 hour, but above that they being to contract your ears. Mainly because they sit on, not over your ears. The mic is pretty reasonable but the overall quality of the product is very plasticy, So, if you want a gaming/long use product, look elsewhere. (I would note that, if you have small ears, you may well be alright :P)

This work with Xbox?

I deliberately came in this thread with no intention of buying to see if there was someone who hadn't bothered even looking into it themselves and just asking this question.

Sure enough....

NO it damn well won't! If you own an Xbox you should know that it uses proprietroy headset....or if you didn't you could have looked on google...

It even says in the reviews on amazon...took all of 10 seconds to find out.

but does it work on ps3?

thanks OP, ordered

Any one use this for TV? I want to plug it in to my TV for movies and games, will it be good for that. Hoping the cable is long enough to trail from the tv to end of my bed (tv is at the foot)

ouch you must be mad pay £22.40 for pc headset i got my for a £1 and they are great Noise-Cancelling what ta hell you need tht for in less you intend using them outside sorry abit of a joke for even that price

A steal at this price, these are perfect if you have a X-Fi XtremeGamer or similar. I've gone through a number of headsets over the years and these are the only ones that I'd recommend. They're also extremely comfortable as they don't clamp or dig into your head like many headset. This is mainly because they swivel (both forward and backward) around your ears.

It'll be fine if you're planning to plug the headphones into your tv, as the OP said you can remove the mic (as seen in the Amazon pic). The cable is 2.5 metres (8 foot) so there's enough for you to sit up or lay in bed while wearing them.

I'm guessing that you've never played a game using a decent soundcard/headset combination otherwise you wouldn't have posted that comment. It's like saying that the headphones that come with an iPod are great when in all honestly they're no better than something you'd get at Poundland.

If you yourself only use the headset for Ventrilo/Teamspeak/Skype while playing MMORPG's then I guess a £1 headset is fine, after all you're only using it to talk to each other so it's like a conference phonecall.

It's also worth nothing that these are a gaming headset, there's a lot more to them than just a microphone stuck onto some headphones. Someone using an onboard 2.1 soundcard wouldn't get the same results as those using a dedicated soundcard but they'd still noticibly hear the improvement.

This is an average headset, the sound quality isn't great but they are fairly comfy. However if you can spend a little more consider the SteelSeries Siberia's or the SteelSeries 5HV2's.

Good deal. I got the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset (Black) for just £16 that works well we me and has some good reviews.

Great headset. I got mine from Dell a while back for about £15 - worth every penny. They've lasted very well and have great range of sound with decent bass. The cable is about 1.5m long, I think - it'd be a struggle to reach the end of your bed. It's true, they were uncomfortable at first, wearing them for long periods. However, mine seem to have loosened up over the last 2 years (or maybe my ears have built up a resistance) and now they are quite comfortable.

Ha ha ha, Damn right!

Even with this? Amazon

Why cant I get amazon links to work? Search for "Speed-Link - Xbox 360 Live Headset Adapter"

Fine for what it is, a bog standard set of headphones with a detachable boom mic. I've had mine for just over a year now but will probably pony up for razer barracudas when these bite the dust.

I have massive ears and these are more comfy than the speedlink medusa 5.1s I had previously.

I'm the exact opposite. My speedlink medusas were comfy and worked without fault for a good 3 years until I ran my chair over them. I got a pair of the fatal1tys to replace them and I find them a lot less comfortable and my mic stopped working after a couple of months.

Deffo good headset. Was donated a pair of the originals (with fixed mic) from a mate at Creative years ago, and they still going strong.

Ive used them almost daily and the only repairs Ive had to do is to the cable, after running over it repeatedly with my chair.

I bought a headset adapter for the xbox for a pound from ebay, these should work surely? not really keen on spending the OTT prices for xbox headsets.

Thanks for the post - ordered

ok will do Mr Spock

:P
Order them and then we'll see who is laughing

Let me know if a regular hardset works with that adaptor fret, great game picture btw.

I like these but I've not used anything more expensive, certainly a great step up in terms of comfort from cheapo trust headphones.

Its not such a crazy question there captain douche, there's plenty of third party gaming headphones for the 360. Turtle Beach X series, Skullcandy etc.
There was no mention of it being PC only in the product description, just a few reviews by people who had bought for xbox but were returning etc.

If you want to listen to TV when in bed dont use a cable get some wireless headphones

really good price, I bought this headset for £39.99 from PC world last Sunday

Great headset, had one for a couple of years now and I can't really fault it for this price. Made from some pretty solid and chunky plastic, with big soft foam pads on the ears and headband. I can wear this while playing CSS for hours and hours without discomfort.

I recommended it to 2 of my friends and they are as happy as I am.
