I really like these earphones, they are very light, compact, durable, comfortable and sound great imo. I've had many more expensive buds and ended up going back to these as the others either break (Sony) or feel a bit bulky to wear or to store in your pocket.

Heat from me.

I've just purchased a pair of these, very pleased with them. Heat added

These phones are great and way above what you might expect for the price.

Used to be supplied by Dell with their laptops etc - don't know whether that is still the case, but I bought 3 surplus pairs off someone who was supplied them with a bulk order for just £1.99!

I bought two pairs of these a couple of years ago and they are both going strong...my daughter uses hers constantly. Good sound, hard to better for the money.

My favourite headphones for the price. Great sound though I'm on my 3rd pair now as they only last me about a year before one of the speakers packs up but still worth the money. Voted hot.

Just got these for £5.39 from Play

Might be cheaper, but still think it is worth paying the extra couple of £'s from Amazon for the assurance that they are not fakes.

Lots of fake EP630's around. Those somehow are even more fragile than the real ones, which usually only last about 6 months anyway.

I agree with the quantity of fakes around. I have been trying to buy a pair of these for the last few weeks, and both pairs I bought were fakes! You can tell the fakes by looking at the following site:

I am not 100% sure about these pair either - I was under the impression that all the 'Eco' packaged ones are fakes. How trustworthy are Amazon's Preferred Merchants?

Noise "isolating"... what so they make it more noisey

Play are a massive company... Why would they sell fakes and not amazon??

DJBucko2009 - If you looked properly it's being sold by a 3rd party seller.

Possibly because it's not Play selling them for that price, it's another merchant selling via Play.

I've checked the ones that I purchased from Amazon (supplied by indigostarfish) with the link that you supplied and they appear to be genuine, even though they in a eco box (the box has the creative branding)

The silver part has a rounded edge, the back plastic where the ear bud locates is angled and the cord is the same length on each side. The grill is shiny with no sign of any glue - and they sound really good.

Why does this site keep messing up my editing???

I've had 3 pairs of EP-630. Not because I really like them and want some spairs; but because they keep dying. They are good earphones for the money - comfortable and a nice sound. But out of the 3 pairs I've had none have lasted longer than 3 months. I use them 2-3 hours a day and have a circular cable wrap I keep inside a soft pouch - so I know it's not how they are stored that's killing them.

Good sound but in my experience, very prone to losing all sound in the left earbud (yes, all three pairs suffered this issue!). Just remember you get what you pay for...

PS. Current owner of Jays a-Jays Three's... Hopeful owner of the £28 Sennheiser IE7's via the recent Orange deal :-P

These are great headphones for the price, both myself and my brother have a pair.

I had a pair of Sennheiser CX500's before which I stupidly lost, and they're 99% as good as they were.

Had some of these before sounded great until they died two months later. Might have just been unlucky maybe..

I've been using mine over a year and they've been in the wash - still work great

I've had mine for three years now and they've had intensive usage and not a single problem. This includes travel, mountain biking and gym use.
Bought for £7-99 in 2007 from amazon so for me, longevity is not a problem and they are genuine iems.
Only now have I decided to upgrade when i saw the Sennheiser IE7 Orange deal posted.

I'm looking for a decent set of earphones to use with my iPhone that will stay in my ears! I seem to have pretty small ear canals and most that i have used feel really uncomfortable and if they dont fall out i have to take them out, especially when i am on a plane and my ears seem to "tighten up" with the pressure.

Can anyone reccomend a pair? Was looking at the Klipsch X1s currently half price on Amazon?

Thanks in advance

These look the same as the CX200's to me do they sound the same though.

play actually sell these via different merchants as part of "playtrade". doesnt mean they are not real, but some of the merchants selling these have 85% ratings which i would say is fairly poor.

Having said that, amazon is also selling these via a prefered seller: indigostarfish.com
but they seem like a more reputable company.

I bought the slightly more expensive ep 830's, there quite good, all you will ever need really unless yoru a true audiophile, 3 different earhole sizes to although they do get a bit waxy like

i bought the seinheisser cx 400 (white model) for £17.99, i would stick with a brand you know. they also give you 2 years warranty.

For the money these are the dogs bits!!

Excellent earphones - excellent price. Should be hotter!

I've just ordered another pair for the wife, at this price including postage it's a fantastic price. How do I leave 'like' if the OP hasn't made another post?

my first pair lasted for about 2 years, 2nd is about 2 month old but the sound in the left earphone seems to weak.

If this price is good, what is the usual RRP?

Ordered. Thanks OP.

My daughter (40) uses the Loud Enough earphones from Logitech because they fit so well in her smaller ears (her daughter had them first). These were at a bargain price but you can still get them for £9.99 from Play.com. They are similar to the entry Ultimate Ears 'phones but are restricted to 85 decibels - not a problem unless you are already deaf!

The smallest earpiece on the Creative 'phones here is not too bad either...

good headphones but i'll give these boys a miss. Brought some last time around and the left side doesn't work anymore!

Definately a good set of headphones but I had two pairs where after a year one side dies

I prefer the 630s, the 830s leak noise, have larger buds that fall out of the ears more easily and sound pretty much identical to the 630s. Mine have being going forever and I don't really look after them.

don't buy from a merchant, only buy direct from play if possible or indigo starfish on amazon....most of the rest are fakes.

This includes travel, mountain biking

If you riding on the road be careful using headphones like this as they block out all the road noises..

I think Amazon themselves are out of stock now. It says 2 - 4 weeks for delivery and defaults to an external seller.

very very very good headphones best i have ever had HOT

Can confirm that the £5.39 ones from Play are real. Checked out on www.fakeearphones.com.

How have you managed to confirm this? The photo shown on the website will be a stock photo used by Play not one the individual merchant has added. Looking at that merchant's feedback I would be wary of buying from them.
