Did anybody ever get their cashback from the first time this offer came up? I received an email confirmation and nothing since...been 2 months now. Very happy with the speakers mind..great sound for what they are. Plenty of bass and detail; stereo seperation is nonexistant but for pc speakers they're great value.

I kept holding off for a better price and I think this has to be it, thanks Bingsy.

I'll use these mostly to play back TV torrents anyone care to comment how they will sound?

I bought these speakers a few weeks before Christmas for £59.99 from Amazon and thought that they were good value for money then in terms of sound quality, style and quality of build. Although they lack a separate subwoofer, the bass is wonderfully accurate, warm and punchy enough to fill a medium sized room. As for the rest of the sound, it's clear, precise and sounds great, even at higher volumes (although best results occur when listening to the speakers between about 30 -70% volume, which is plenty loud enough!). Only slight problem was that I had to re-rip some of the CDs I'd 'ripped' at relatively low bitrates (64kbps), because it showed up the indiscrepancies in the sound!

Anyhows, I'd highly reccommend them, especially now that they're at such a low price - bargain! I might have to buy another set for my parents at this price.

Anyhows, www.TrustedReviews.com gave these speakers 10/10, and they're well known for their judgements.

I received my cashback cheque from the previous offer this morning. Must be close to 8 weeks from when I sent the claim form to them and 6 weeks since I received the email acknowledgement from them.

I got my cashback arounf 40 days after i posted the cheque - fantastic speakers, a must buy at this price! I got them for £45 after cashback and am exceedingly pleased with them at that price!

As for stereo separation, I thought it was quite good - just make sure you position the spearks as far apart as poss!

thanks got around to ordering this at last.

OK so mine arrived today and I have to say somewhat disappointed.

They are much bigger than I thought - not sure why I thought they would be smaller. The blue LED is so bright that even when I'm looking away its boring through my retina... But seriously maybe these just aren't for Macs? I have them plugged into the only output on the iMac (the headphone socket and I have to crank the volume control to 90% to get even a modicum of sound out. They will go higher but - and I don't listen to stuff loud - I'm pretty sure they'd disappoint anyone who wanted loud music. I'm listening to solo acoustic guitar and they really are cranked way up to get even a modest amount of sound out.

Difficult to illustrate fully but I was just watching a TV torrent and usually the iMac sound is at about level three whereas listening through these I had it up to level eight and I still needed to turn it up from there.

On the +ve they have a nice tone with the music I just described. Just tried some Pretenders and the bass just isn't there however I turn it up, any bass lover will need a sub (unless its down to my iMac setup). Vocals good.

That said I haven't heard a better pair of speakers in my home, I just tend to think all PC speakers are limited. Thinking of sending them back I really want something the size of Creatures with a remote.

eek - mine practically make my ears blead at vertical on the dial volume ...

blue-tack sorts the blue LED out - just enough to cover the centre - while still letting some blue out ..

you'll also find they improve over time.

I had a Logitech Z-5500 setup and prefer these - and also very into hifi so quite picky.

Mark.

As I said it might just be my setup. Like the blutack workaround!

no probs - the led felt like it was burning my eyes out LOL !

returns a 404 error for me too.

If you need it I can send you a pdf, PM me an email address.

What's the deal regarding the cashback please? I assume I print off the Ebuyer invoice and put that in with the claim form, but what do I do regarding the bar code? It kinda peels off, do I try and take it off the box? Photocopy it? Just write the number down onto the form?

Thanks

Any idea please guys?

usually with these offers they require the original code ie. cut off the bar code but if it peels send that - photocopy
it before you do though.
