Bought the stage SE recently as my computer speaker for when i don't use the headset. It looks and costs similarly to this and it sounds ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Hollow, boomy and distorted, no setting tweaks can fix it. I thought I am far from being an audiophile and as long as the sound is serviceable i don't much care about the quality but i discovered i too have a minimum bar 🙈 btw it replaced a small soundcore mini portable speaker that died which i could swear sounded better.

I've got a really old wired creative 5.1 speaker system with my old pc. Sounds really good.

I've got some old speakers from way back. Still in box. Must be a good 10yrs old now, not sure how they sound. Also, got some old big tower speakers but they haven't been used in probably 6-7yrs. They sounded really good. (edited)

I’d suggest the Creative Pebble V3’s as you can position them either side of your monitor (accounting for the length of the connecting wire). Also take a look at the new versions of you want to splash out
