I like how this appears to be cold, with no comments to say why...

I didn't vote either way, but I thought I'd offer some input anyway.

About 10 years ago I bought a set of these for less than Amazon are selling them now. I have them paired with one of these. Throw in one of these and perhaps you might also see why it doesn't seem a great deal to me. I don't claim that mine sounds better, but I can tell you it sounds pretty good!

Hey freakie, these are the improved version of the GigaWorks T40 Series II that you have have with Bluetooth and NFC connectivity for your smart devices. It sounds as good as or even better than the T40 Series II themselves.

My mate had some T40 Series II's and they did sound pretty good, I have to agree, only really bettered by a decent dedicated sub and speakers, naturally.

Wouldn't mind a pair myself, or even the T50's, but alas budget is an issue at the mo so I'm managing with my cheap-and-cheerful 12yr Creative 5.1 system for now

I also have a pair of T40s series 2 and they sound brilliant connected to a £10 amazon Bluetooth receiver.
I run my tv sound through them and they are again brilliant and better sounding than the £300 Yamaha sound bar I recently tried.
The only problem I've had with my speakers is the outer plastic has discoloured/faded from sunlight.

Apparently these have a 10 min auto power down which can't be changed, now that is going to be really frustrating when using your pc/laptop and your speakers keep turning off if they don't receive a sound while your browsing etc.

Yes that is correct but once a sound is received they switch back on.
The speakers I have connected to my tv 'sleep' at night and within a second of switching the tv on they spring into life.
