even better, thanks.

The 4GB one is a mere £49.99 from Amazon, so surely it would be better value to buy that + another SD card, since for £25 you can get a 16GB SD card these days, making it 20GB for £75.

I know that you can't do certain things on this player with media stored on the cards, but I'm not sure what. Perhaps someone who uses one could find a flaw in my masterplan.

'Should your vast library eat up your memory, SD and SDHC cards can be inserted into a slot to expand capacity. However, the contents of SD cards are not included in the player's main library. To view these items you need to navigate to the SD card and browse the alphabetically sorted lists. ID3 tags are not read from files stored on SD cards. For shame. ' (source: cnet)

I don't suppose it's a big problem tho if you have a large SDHC card and are not bothered about tags, would probably take a little longer to program a playlist in

If 4Gb is enough for your media library then great get the 4Gb model and expand with SD cards - otherwise this is a hot deal.

I just bought the 32GB model from Amazon and I love this player. Highly recommended.

why do all these mp3 players only ever carry an fm receiver?

Annoying if your after the football scores or anything on am at all - must be a technical reason

The 4GB version seems to have been reduced to £44.59 now.

No ID tags read from the SD card?, who's going to want to have 16 or 32 Gb of music on a SDHC card and not see the tags on any of them? wonder what kind of search you can do on 1000's of tracks if there is no tag data? searching by filename is a bit limiting i would think.
It 's a good price if amazingly you are not bothered by this

I bought a 4GB zen from amazon at the end of June. Its now now faulty - "white screen of death" as its called at the creative forums. Its a hardware problem with no fix. Just contacted creative today and i hope they'll replace it. Seems a fairly common problem. Anyone else had issues?

SD CARD PROBLEM

Please note files on the SD card are not read via the music, pictures and video links on the main menu. You have to get to them via a seperate SC card menu. This means you cant search them like files on the player itself. So if you want to use this for music and put extra songs on an SD card it doesn't work well at all. Therefore get the largest one you can afford/that meets your needs. The SD card is ok for pictures and videos but no good for music really.

good deal. 16gig is £85 del with a trader.
