I am puzzled as to why this is so cold. I thought this was an excellent price for this MP3. . Please, if you can find it cheaper, which I presume you can, due to the volume of cold votes, post a link to the better deal. That would be much more helpful than just voting cold. Thanks. Andy

I would fork out the few extra quid for the sansa clip base.com/Hw/…htm

I've got both the stone plus and the clip, the clip has better sound quality and is much more responsive than the Stone plus. ( i know this is just the stone)

Thanks Andy Great price, ordered for my nephews birthday

i got the 1gb stone with speaker from morrisons for a tenspot - chuffed with it

got my daughter a one too - she doesn't bother with earphones so the speaker is ideal - she's just not so enamoured with the choice of music i initially stuck on it!!

Looks like the armband will set you back £3 + £2 postage and packing at ]base.com. Good for runners

Having said that if you bought (it all from base.com) the armband for £3 and the ]2Gb Stone with Speaker for £16 plus the postage £2 + £1 (for the additional item) it only comes to £21 !

Does the Sandisk have a speaker too?

Anyway, heat added for the Zen.

Same here, best tenner I ever spent

These are great little players, an absolute synch to use and durable little things. I mounted mine on the handlebars of my mountain bike, and it must take some pile of vibration and thuds, but it just keeps on going. A 3+ hour a day bike ride, five days a week, requires only a once weekly charge also!

This is a hot price for the 2GB version

ordered!

I think the reason of the cold votes could be the fact that this was posted twice in the past few weeks as being a tenner from Morrisons, perhaps?;-)

Heat and rep added.

These are great little players. Perfect present for little kids. The inbuilt speaker is really quite impressive for the size. Buy this, stick on all your kid's stuff whether it be nursery rhymes, cbeebies type CDs, or the bits of your own music that they like. Give it to them as a present without the headphones so no need to worry about their ears. Can't recommend highly enough.

If you intend to use the tinny speaker on public transport I will fight you....that's no lie.

Cold from me. You can get the same sort of thing but made by Apple and with far fewer features for only around double to three times the price, and that's a much better deal in my opinion.

But then, I'm being sarcastic.

Oh god, she's not one of those that sit on the back of bus playing music out loud is she?

So how does this work then...does it have a screen or is like the iPod Shuffle?

Nope no screen

Built-in speakers should be outlawed for this very reason (and I never catch a bus & rarely a train)!
