Does it not come with a charger? :s

It may charge via the USB cable???

Out of stock at play, but available at Amazon for around the same price:

amazon.co.uk/Cre…8-1

Great players, I prefer these to ipods.
They do come with an internal rechargeable battery and charger.

On the menu, it says radio, do they have one or do you need an attatchment?

also can you record of the radio?

It does have a FM radio. It does not come with a wall charger but it can be chrged using the supplied USB cable.

Yes you can record from the Radio. I doesn't come with a wall charger and is charged via the usb cable. I bought a wall charger from ebay for £4.

I've had my Zen for a few months now and its great! It plays most formats including, Divx, AVI, MPEG etc... which is the reason I sold my ipod to get one of these. It is very easy to add media using a drop and drag method. I hated using itunes and much prefer the simple no frill creative software

They are a great media player and IMO much better than an ipod because it plays many more media formats. The only bad thing is that it is a little bulky compared to the ipod. Theres a good review on cnet that worth watching if your considering a Creative Zen vision:M if you click on the cnet video review

30 gig ipods are 142 from ebuyer. ebuyer.com/UK/…Pod

i kinda wish i didnt have my iPod aswell as my creative zen, I want one of these!!

its an awesome piece of kit. you can use a psp charger which you can get for about £4. you can also use the usb to charge it through your wii

Only problem would be if you had to change the battery which is not for the faint-hearted.

keep the firmware the same and you will be fine, newer firmware prevents you from doing so apparently

It uses the same charger as a PSP?

yes it goes in the wee white thing you get with it for connecting to the computer / video cable etc. i learned this after forking out for an official one i have the us firmware for extra volume which disables the fm radio recording but i dont use it anyway.

So is it better/cheaper to buy a PSP charger then?

mine came with a wall charger, as did everyone elses i kno who got one

yes mine did too, I had to really think about it, but I'm sure it came with a wall charger.

you can buy a leather holder for about £5 on ebay and probably want to up the headphones to Sennheiser cx300s £17.10 from Amazon amazon.co.uk/s/r…300

Play are selling these headphones for £10 more, so the Amazon price is quite tasty and the headphones are certainly worth way more than £17.10 (IMO).

They definitely do NOT come with a wall charger now. - same with the ipods

yes the psp charger is cheaper - mines didnt have one (bought from amazon).

Quidco is tracking @ 4% now..

Bought one of these on Friday from Amazon and it arrived on Saturday... just in time for the wife's birthday ;-)

She is very pleased with it - we didn't expect the screen to be much cop when watching videos, but were pleasantly surprised to see that it's much better than we had expected. Admittedly, it's not going to replace your TV in your living room, but for long journeys in planes, trains and automobiles then it's fantastic. Much brighter than my colleague's iPod Video.... plus it plays a fantastic array of formats, more so than the iPod.

Overall, a great purchase.

ps - mine never came with a wall charger, but we just charged it via the mini-USB cable that is provided. I do have a phone charger that uses the same mini-USB socket, so might try that but am a bit wary in case I break it, as the missus would be non-too-pleased with me.

OK, can throw some light on this charger issue as I bought one from currys that was in a big box and had wall charger, but had to go back as it was faulty. The replacement I was given came in a box half the size with no charger??

Looks like the big box was old and small one was new, so on that basis creative have decided to become greedy and rip everyone off and make them have the pc switched on for hours just to charge the player!!!

Well done Creative that must have saved you nearly 50p per player!!

Don't buy a creative charger get one that's for the PSP like redcap said, only a couple of quid. It needs a 5v supply.

P.S.
The TomTom one I have uses mini usb to charge and comes with car charger, might be ok but check first!

maybe they changed over when they made the player thinner. the box mines came in was very small.
