Received this offer in the post, but seems to be a generic URL that anyone can access. Sign up for the Priority Club Rewards Black Visa card (provided by Barclaycard) and get 40,000 Priority Club plus a 0% balance transfer for 15 months (the balance transfer for some reason is not showing on the launch page, but it gives you the option when you do the application).

The 40,000 points automatically upgrades you to "Gold Elite" status (10% bonus points, priority check in - so nothing great). The annual fee is waived for the first year - afterwards £99. I plan to cancel after the first year I just want to take advantage of the points offer.

PriorityClub is partnered with IHG (InterContienental Hotels Group) so there are quite a few good hotels chains where these points can be spent:

- InterContinental
- Crowne Plaza
- Holiday Inn
- Holiday Inn Express
- Hotel Indigo
- Staybridge Suites
- Candlewood Suites

You also get the following benefits:

- Earn 4 Priority Club points per £1
on all spend at IHG hotels and on spending abroad
- Earn 2 Priority Club points per £1
on your everyday spending
- Receive a free night voucher valid at over 4,400 hotels
worldwide if you spend at least £10,000 per year

Overall, this deal is quite a bit better than the standard one on the website, which only offers 20,000 points, has 12 months at 0%, and doesn't waive the annual fee.

I don't know what their credit requirements are, but hopefully this should work for some.

Here is proof of the balance transfer once you go through with the application:
The following Promotional Rates are available from the date that your account is opened:
0% interest for 15 months on balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening with a handling fee of 2.99% on the amount transferred. Maximum balance transfer 90% of your available credit.

Is it me or I cant see anything about the balance transfer and also they have an annual fee.

Original Poster

It should be visible on the left hand side of the page.

This first bullet says:
40,000 Priority Club bonus points (that's enough for up to a free weekend away)

The fourth bullet says:
£99 annual fee refunded for the first year

It clearly states annual fee will be refunded, plus has all the information about the balance is stated clearly, please read carefully before making incorrect comments. Great deal op. thanks!

Ah yes - I see that the balance transfer option isn't stated on the front page, but it definitely gave me the option once I went through with the application.

Do you need to spend anything to get the 40k points?

I see this as not so much about the card as the promotional offers. I plan on cancelling before the fee gets charged.

Im the same, yes it has a £99 annual fee but if its free for the first year, what is the worry? Just cancel it.

I got the "normal" priority club credit card, got a free night out of it.

I might go for this one to, just get the free 2 nights then cancel.

I had the old card where 10000 points were awarded. I may be tempted to take advantage as mentioned already. Open the account, make a purchase and pay it off the next month, wait for the points to be awarded (could be a few months) and then cancel.

Site says "£99 annual fee refunded for the first year - This will be credited back within 30 days of 6th June 2012"

Will they charge £99 when opening the account?

how will the £99 be refunded ?
how do we book the hotel?
are points enough for 2

1) I assume, £99 will be credited to the account
2 +3) You will need to have a priority member account (free) google search and have a look

HOT from me .. Cheers OP!

Please note I have an excellent credit score and my application has been rejected.

Shame I missed out on this deal!

The points were never credited to my account. Did everyone else get theirs?

I got mine within a few weeks of signing up. Also ran all my business expenses through this and quicky got to the free night's stay - used it over the weekend but was charged a deposit at the time of booking the equivalent of a night's stay, and that hasn't yet been refunded lol - will be chasing in the morning!
