Cree isn't a make of torch, it's a make of LED emitter. All sorts of cheap Chinese tat can use Cree LEDs, and plenty of very good quality torches use LEDs from other manufactures like Nichia and Osram.

An XPE Q5 emits 107 lumens at 350mA current. You might get 250 lumens at 1 amp (with a quality Lithium Ion rechargable battery), but there's no way it's going to give anything like 600 lumens, especially not with an alkaline AA battery.

Once again a motion sensing light that turns off automatically after "15 - 20 seconds". I want one for my bathroom that doesn't turn off half way through having a pee. Can't be that difficult, surely? Would it really hurt the battery life to have a 2 minute delay?
UTORCH6UK This code only work for warm light only if you want white light need to pay full price

To be honest for a quid I wouldn't expect genuine CREE LEDs. Realistically most Chinese branded torches, especially budget ones will not be genuine CREE and yes the do all over rate the lumens.

I have this torch, bought it for 75p. To be honest I'd be very surprised if anyone could find a better torch for the money. I keep mine in the car for emergencies.
It is true that this torch will not achieve anywhere near the the 600lm stated. In the video, with an AA battery, it looks like about 100 lumens. Most good AA/14500 torches produce at least double the energy with a 14500 but I'm not sure that would the case here.

For £1.04 a nice torch to have in a bag, a car a pocket etc.

Great little torch to put in your pocket on evening dog walks - thanks
I have 2 of the torches and think they're great for the money. I've only used an AA battery though - does anyone have any recommendations for a 14500 battery and charger? Thanks.

I have tried the cheap £2-3 chargers off eBay and they're a waste of time,
I got a xtar vc4 off gearbest for £12-14,
33211224-xLHsL.jpgAnd some random batteries off eBay, about £3 for 4,
33211224-savvQ.jpgI already had a few torches that use 18650 batteries so already had the charger, my only outlay was the batteries.
In all honesty I don't think I'd bother shelling out nearly £20 if you're just buying them for this torch.
Those batteries were 2 for 1.10 from amazon recently. I'm waiting for some. I also have some trustfire flames coming in case those are no good.

I've ordered another torch now at 73p!
