Have never seen the Cricut Maker this cheap. I came across it in the Wembley branch and couldn’t find it on their website.

The cheapest it’s been on Amazon is £379.99 (https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Cricut-Maker-Ultimate-Cutting-Machine-Champagne/product/B07TJ6WR7N) so that’s about £100 off normal price

Edit:

Good find! Shame not available online - would have snapped one up too.
Phenomenal bit of kit but if you want to make a business with it there is alot of competition out there.

I also paid £380 a couple of weeks ago from Hobbycraft, but got some vinyl sheets and tools included. This Costco price still works out much better. Good machine and probably this is the best time of year to use one.
I'm goin to have to google this

Can you return yours?

I've used mine so cant
Never heard of this so had to have a look to see what it actually is.
Actually looks really good and the reviews from people who have this seem full of praise. If I had more free time then I could imagine this would very useful for making all sorts of templates and patterns!
Watford Costco also has these in stock last week for anyone looking! 🏽

Nice! I was wondering if they stocked it too. Do you remember if they had different colours or just the same gold/champagne one?

Cold, not a circuit maker, I'd have had one.
For those who dont know its an electronic crafting machine that you can connect to a laptop and get it to make fancy cuts etc. Of course there are loads of accessories that cost another small fortune as well.
They have them in coventry branch aswell

I will pop to local Costco tomorrow and see if they have it then I will look at returning it the hobby craft one had £100 of extras with it so may not be worth returning
I don’t like cricut - I love it.

I'll expand on my previous comment. These are great machines for creating cards, posters, t shirts, mug stickers and pretty much anything you can think of in that regards. But whilst there is a gamut of free SVG files available to create 'love, life, yolo' templates it's probably better to use an air machine for personal use. There are a multitude of FB pages of really experienced people selling on Etsy that means being different is difficult
Do you have to pay for a membership to shop in Costco ? So that's going to add 30 to this price ?

It was this one.

I believe it was only the Gold however (as that’s what mine is) but I didn’t know at the time they did different colours so didn’t pay much attention! 🥴

True, but it will take multiple passes depending on the depth. I have also invested in a laser engraver and a desktop CNC machine. All are good for what they do. I have given the heads up because the cost of access for all of the above has become cheaper to everyone.

Can you not cut your own files with the maker?
biggam23/11/2019 22:45

Excluding VAT

That would make more sense

Can you explain briefly which one does the best job for, please?
Great find as they won’t be getting anymore they told me...none in leeds or Sheffield thou

Definitely! Inkscape is great for this and free. It's mostly font files that you might have to pay for if using commercially.
