Cripsy Fried Onions 400g £1.19 @ Tesco

I love crispy onions on many dishes. I go mad in Harvester and smother the little blighters (a big bowl full) in Thousand Island Dressing. For lunch I just had a bowl of Oxtail Soup with some on. Delicious. However I got fed up with paying £1.40ish for a little tub of 100g from Danfood or something similar.
So there I was in Tesco Roneo Corner (Romford) and I spied these little beauties down the World Foods aisle. A veritable PILLOW of crispy fried onions. So I bought 3 and replenished the little tub I had before and also filled up a tupperware sandwich box with the rest of one pack, to keep em fresh.
They are great on so many different meals I don't know where to start, let alone where to stop.

From the packet:

Consumers Pride Fried Onions - READY TO USE for garnishing and cooking
Crispy topping for
Hamburgers, Mashed Potatoes, Omelette, Pasta, Baked Potatoes, Soups (yum), Salads, and Much more

Made in the Netherlands for Pride Oils PLC. UK

£1.19 for 400g v £1.39 for 100g in a tub

I know where my moneys going.

Is it a deal? It's probably been this price for a bit but not every Tesco sells em. (Some Sainsbury's do)
Definitely the cheapest way to get my Fried Onion fix

NOTE: This was purchase instore @ Roneo Corner, Romford and is available to order for delivery from there. You may get "product unavailable" depending on your local store, as not every store carries this item.

Well you certainly know your onions
    heat

    cos u sound so excited
What about "Eazy Fried Onions" ? 69p for 390g I'm guessing there can't be too much difference.

Not to start "Onion Wars", but these are 90% onions, instead of 76.

You want me to send you some?
Get round to your local Asian food store.
They often sell these onions loose from
a bulk sack and very cheap too.

hahaha no, mate... I just wanted to let others know it was not available online (_;)
Got quite cross when my local Tesco stopped selling these several months ago. I use them for making onion bread and even though I say it myself, it's rather delish! Managed to find them in a local Indian shop at much the same price. Silly Tesco...
