Good kit at the wrong time of year

Often best way to save money though, surely? Buy warm clothes in spring, summer clothes in September and Christmas decorations in January. As long as it's not perishable.

I bought one of these a year or two for £25. Really sturdy, good quality. An absolute bargain at £12.

Is this a national RRP or is it just a special discount in one or two shops? My local Lidl never sells these for less than £29.99.

Me too. Good value at full price!
Can it stand the bike vertically? Thinking of getting it as a stand to save space.
What branch?

Yes but has a huge footprint so you'd likely achieve the opposite
What's the max these can hold? Thinking about using for my 12kg electric bike?
I don't get the point, can't you just turn your bike upside down to get to the wheels?

These save scuffing your seat, handlebars, brake levers, etc.

I am told that hydraulic brakes do not like being turned upside down. I don't have many conversations with brakes so none of them have ever told me this personally.

Yeah, but you might damage the handlebars, seat etc and it’s harder to work on the front derailleur. Plus it’s easier to work at eye level. Trust me, I used to flip it over, bought one of these and never looked back!

Its not easy to work on the drive train upside down and if you dont have a second pair of hands to hold the bike steady when you are wording on somthing like the crank, this does the job.
I presume this was a one off local clearance deal. If anyone desperately needs a repair stand now and can't find one of these, Halfords have their Bikehut repair stand on offer, all be it at the substantially higher price of £28 down from £40. I bought one the other day only because I had some vouchers just about to expire. I have put it together but not used it yet, and it looks fairly sturdy, probably very similar design and quality to the Lidl one.

Try servicing and setting up your gears like that!
This does not appear to be national. The big new Lidl store in Swansea know nothing about it. I would have thought that a new store only opened last week would have these.

It was likely something lost at the back of the stockroom, still a great deal, but I never find them

Mines pretty weighty but looking at the design I guess it would hold
Ridiculously cheap at that money. Was a bargain at 25 mid summer.

Bit far for me but thanks for the heads up.
I bought one of these on a similar offer. All I can say is check it all before you leave the store as they've been back and forth more than usual. Thankfully my local store allowed me to swap some bits from the first one I took back to make one good one.

Read your comment, went to the kitchen, put the the stand together to verify all parts are there, then put my bike on to see how solid, then gave the bike a wash, then degreased the chain, washed it, lubed it then cleaned the wheels... 2 hrs later my wife walked in the kitchen and saw the mess .... I quoted your comment
