2 man, but no porch space to put (often wet) bags, boots etc. I've a feeling a lot of these will end up in the campsite skip after the first use.

Also looks like a single skin tent so not so good for condensation and if the wind come in from the door side its going to be blown around a bit!

as I said, good for festivals :-) no one wants to be bringing the tent back afterwards!

I bet it's not those in the Guardian photo that have been discarded. There's a few bob's worth of eBay material there..

Just been to Lidl to have a look at one... I must of spent too much time testing it out because the staff got suspicious and called the police. They nicked me for loitering within tent... X)

£15 cheap enough to discard afterwards, when a travelodge can be £50 a night, I have numerous tents and would be unlikely to take a decent one to a festival , knifes fire and drunken idiots don't mix well

I know nothing about tents, but they had something similar in home bargains for £17.99 which pops up - I looked at it for a beach shelter but didn't buy it.

Ideal for fishing.....

not sure you'd catch many fish using this

That''s a surprisingly high hydrostatic head value for such a cheap tent. This tent should actually be mostly waterproof. (if the number is not a lie)

Lidl have a better one on sale from 17th April, but it's twice the price, however, it looks twice the spec. here

I used one of these for cycling around France & Spain for 2 months in Summer 2012.
It did the job fine - lightweight, easy to erect, hard wearing enough, waterproof enough for Europe in summer.
The first night back in the UK I found out it actually wasn't waterproof at all. You definitely need a double skin tent for camping in the UK.
Also I wouldn't dream of stuffing two people into this tent. It is categorically not a two person tent.
Otherwise, great value for £15

That looks good, shame it isn't a pop up 3 man tent as that's what i'm after.

If you left your tent at Shambala festival you'd be most unpopular, only 2 where left there last year, it's not the done thing. I think it depends what festival you go to

Bought one. Riding my bicycle to Paris during Easter and needed something cheap and light for emergencies (in case I can´t find shelter in B&Bs). Don´t know anything about tents, but it´s light (1.5Kg), looks alright and is spacious for a single person.

If you're okay leaving stuff outside, this is where a black bin bag helps.
