What are they like though?

Would these get me to the pub as quick as my Adidas ones?
And, I mean the ones with the 'go-faster' stripes.

Wish they did men's size 12

Could you not just buy 2 pairs of size 6?

Yes. The only similarity - I can see - is they are both worn on the feet...

anyone know whether these are a normal fit?

Can you actually run with those feet?

Heat, but I can run faster in my slippers

I can't tell the difference.... oO

You must be joking.

Call me a cheapskate if you like, but I've bought the high top boots from Lidl a few times now. If these are of similar quality, they'll last for years, and are very comfortable.

It's a deal breaker for everyday walk or gym and maybe short runs for sure. Running shoes? Unless your knees, calves etc are undestructible. Mmight be heavy, made of cheap material and will wear off fast, poor protection and most likely uncomfortable, blisters after longer run etc. And not for those over 90kg. My 3 pence.

I think these are the abnormal ones Dave.

Got to report back on this - nope, nope and nope.

Just weighed one now, including mud 278g. I've done around 240km a month in them, was under 90kg until I started homebrewing but not now!

Here's an article about the Aldi cheap trainers. With those I'd say avoid the premium version as they're really padded in that marshmallowy sole that wears out in no time and compresses down after a few weeks.

these are absolute rubbish.

Garbage

how could a Germany owned retailer sell so many knock-off items on high street without any criminal charges is really beyond my understanding.

I love all the reviews from people that haven't actually tried them...

Wow they are identical, going to get 2 pairs. One for everyday and one for best.

Cheers op

They will be much better for running in that the Onitsuka Tigers.
Just not as trendy down Wetherspoons. ;-)

I know my eyesight is bad, but it's not THAT bad! Though the Bruce Lee Onitsukas are much cooler

Funnily enough, my brother asked for these earlier as a birthday gift from one of us siblings - he is a size 12 so not sure about the 11s. They look good for the price, though!

Yeah coz nobody ran until 10 years ago when the latest shoes were developed ! The more engineered the shoe the more reliance on the shoe, the weaker calves become. Basically you can run in converse with no negative effect on joints as long as you build up your calves to take the impact rather than some shoe padding.

Wish they had men size, not the current muppet sizes.

Wrong. I had got a pair of running shoes for £14 2 ago I think it was. I did 19 miles every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They'd die after 9 months. That's pretty good and they are very comfy.

"Might", "most likely" - sure sounds like you have actual experience of these, maybe.

You mean there's only one (difference)?

Great buy these trainers are .. been running in mine upto 5 miles per day for nearly 2 years and still going strong and comfortable too so heat added and highly recommended

Onitsuka Tigers are not designed for running. They are Asics fashion brand.

Kinda sums up the EU really. The Germans just do whatever they want, at everyone else's expense. Thank goodness for Brexit. We can now regain our British sense of honour.

Gotta dash. Cheap knock-off trainers to buy

you could go into store in an old pair of slippers, put a pair of these on - then do a runner

(not advocating theft, though!)
