These are back down to the price they were (£29.99) in Amazon's Black Friday promotion just before Christmas. They've dipped to that price once before since, it looks like Amazon's pricing software matches the price of the lowest independent retailer selling on their site!

I'd never used one of these before getting this one in January, so simple to use, just toss everything in and let it bubble away for 5/8 hours depending on which setting you use. The favourite thing to cook seems to be Pulled Pork but be warned, you'll be munching on it for days afterwards! Pork overload!!

Not sure if it's a fantastic bargain, but I've never seen one like this before. Having read the reviews I'm going to order one for taking away in my caravan :-)

I bought it at the time due to it being one of the main brands who seem to have a good reputation and also due to the size for the price at the time. The carry bag stuff was just extra, not useful to me but may be handy for somebody!

The carry bag will be very useful to me. We are always tired and starving by the time we have set our caravan up, so this will be fab!

Seems expensive for a slow cooker.

Yes I think it sounds expensive for a slow cooker I remember I paid about £17 which looks very similar .

As they say on TV 'other brands are available'!

I'd guess the cheaper ones may be unknown brands and will almost certainly be about three litre capacity. It depends if you want the larger capacity available here and think the portability of this one is a feature you would use.

When it comes down to it they will probably all cook the pork!!

I think you are paying for the convenience of it being portable. So only really a good deal if it will be useful for you.

There is that and there is also the capacity.

I just took a look on Argos and other than a Cookworks 6.5L at £20 and a Breville 5.5L at £25 anything else is 3.5L until you get to £35.
