From one of the Argos customer reviews:

If you arer over 10 stone weight - DO NOT BUY THIS
All the info printed on the outside of the box is about how wonderful this item is. Sales pitch about construction. Its only when you READ the instruction manual on how to ride a bike, you observe the HEALTH And SAFETY WARNING. 'THIS BIKE SUITABLE FOR PERSON UNDER 80 kg WEIGHT'. This includes what you load onto the pannier. Most men are over that weight limit. I asked, if I had the bike collapse from under me, is the guarantee still valid. Answer = NO, Bike has been overloaded.

The word I see looking at even 5 star comments is "flimsy".

Another review indicates this is heavier than the blurb says:

poor qulity, super heavy (16.7 kg)
losting descrption is not accurate, its very heavy and not a great quility not a smooth bike the seat is veryyyy uncomfortable, you have to replace it as soon as you received it

Just info to help decide if it would suit you.

That's heavier than my mountain bike. I like the way you summed it up so people can easily make a decision to buy or not to buy.. Personally I would just give it a miss.
doesnt look good weighted
Looks good and fully loaded with mudguards and pannier.
When the bike has such low weight limits its because Argos have bought a Chinese market spec folding bike designed for the lower weight people of Asia, normally bike manufacturers provide a heavier duty model for exports to the US and Europe which clearly this isn't which is more expensive. Also the stress of the hinge on folding bikes is often better made with steel than aluminium. However if you are ok with the weight limits it seems fair value. Folding bikes seem to have increased in cost more recently with not as many low cost options on Amazon or ebay and bicycles4u has closed its doors.

A great quality very well made folding bike is the Giant Halfway if you can find one I think they stopped selling them in the UK last year. However even if you can find one it would be 3x the price of this model. However I think its rated up to 160kg total load with a lifetime warranty on the frame.
I'll stick with my Brompton thanks.

As I'm sure most people would if money were no object. Unfortunately they cost about 8x the price
