I haven't included delivery cost because it varies with these guys. You can usually get it for £1.51 though, which will take the total to £13.50, still an absolute bargain.

Don't forget, FREE DELIVERY for orders over £49.99

SuperEd

OP - I have included postage as that is what you will pay for buying it - Its a good price though! Heated and thanks for your post

Probably, but why not go for some corsair xms3 for £1.49 more?

Everyone knows about this, came in ebuyer newsletter few hours ago, didn't even include postage cost. Voting cold on principle, also for using the word "guys" in 2 out of 2 posts.

It's more than adequate.

If you're only running freenas 7 on it though you're best off getting just 2 x 1GB of ECC RAM, if you need more than 2GB then ECC becomes a bit expensive and not justifiable for such a cheap server.

How much lower can it go!

I would check what memory you already have, since when I bought my N36L i got the Kingston 4GB DDR3 1066MHz Memory Non-ECC CL7 1.5V, and this memory is 1333Mhz

I don't even own a DDR3 motherboard and I feel compelled to buy!

Yes it is different, one will not work in the other. Use Crucial's memory advisor tool to work our what RAM you need. You don't have to buy from them, but they can point you in the right direction.

ordered this after seeing it in the email shot from ebuyer, kudos to the op for putting it on here and ignore the negative ####!

Faster memory won't be a problem - it will just run at the required slower speed. The opposite is not true!

FreeNAS with ZFS loves RAM though. At this price, I would max out the RAM in the MicroServer and get 2x4GB DIMMs.

How you getting on with the n40l? I jumped on that one too. You install an OS or virtualization?

Shame there's no S3, other than that, so far so good.
