Free in cereal boxes anyone?

I wouldn't say £280 is the same as free in a cereal box, I mean yeah it's a better price but it's still nearly £300. I highly doubt i'll find one of these in my frosties any time soon :p.

Best price so far, voted hot!
Strangely slow write speeds
Can we make sure that each time a SSD reduces in price, even by a few pence, that a new deal is posted as I'd hate to come onto HUKD one day and not find it populated with SSD deals.

That is all...carry on!
The amount of ssd deals are a joke. People who want to have new technology are paying over the odds, these prices I think are way too high. Maybe in a few years time I might actually look into the benefit of it over hdd to warrant the price tag. Hdd is doing me great.

Those are pretty normal, 500MB is usually only seen with compressible data and these drives don't do compression. You don't really need that much sequential write anyway.

Should use a recognised brand like Onkyo.

Wait, which thread am I in again?

SSDs need their own bloody section.
Wow nice price, I paid 250 odd quid for a 128GB G skill falcon back in 2009, believe it or not that was a good deal at the time and it took over a year for prices to start dropping much below that.. however the drive did die last year, i will likely buy another SSD soon since the prices are coming down a ton lately.

I'll probably go with a 256gb drive, more than enough and they are nicely priced now for the fast ones.

Last night, SSDs occupied five out of ten of the hottest deals of the day. Three of them were for the same **** drive. How they could all be hot is anyone's guess.

It's becoming a complete farce now, and site admin should just ban SSD 'deals'
Hot UK SSD Deals.

Boring!
the size of memory is growing very fast these days !! hott...
So many repost of this deal lol.
if i werent in the market for an ssd i would find this very annoying!
I am sure once prices settle down there will be fewer SSD deals. However right now they are plummeting and this gives great deals for many people who have been waiting for prices to drop.

It's actually good that there are so many SSD deals out there because it means the different retailers are competing and price matching, thus driving the price down for all of us.
I'm not sure why these are getting hot. They are not from Tesco, they cost more than 99p and are not advertised at 'half price'.
I paid £240 only a few months ago for a 256GB M4

Waiting for the 512GB to hit £250 before I pull the trigger!

Getting hotter though
alasrati

Buyers in multi million/billion pound businesses around the world aren't sat watching HUKD, thinking 'oooh, they've posted two more SSD spam deals another 50p cheaper, best drop the price again!'. It's because of the overproduction of flash chips.

We all know the price of SSDs is dropping. We don't need every single SSD on the net posting on here. There were at least three samsung 256gb drives all voted hot yesterday, for the exact same price. If they are all the same price, they arent a hot deal.

if you dont want to see the ssd deals then filter out the computer … if you dont want to see the ssd deals then filter out the computer section deals rather than moan about it. so what 3 seperate retailers had the same price for the same product, doesnt make it less of a deal, just means consumers have a choice who they buy from which can only be a good thing.Buyers in multi million/billion pound businesses around the world aren't sat watching HUKD, thinking 'oooh, they've posted two more SSD spam deals another 50p cheaper, best drop the price again!'. This is hot, only 5 in stock though
It's amazing how many people who apparently find the number of SSD deals annoying also find the time to post on every such deal. If you're not interested in a particular deal then just keep on scrolling. It's really not hard.
Why does everyone keep voting SSDs hot?! I want to buy things other than SSDs.

For all of those complaining about SSD prices...there are many of us out there that recognise the impact these things can have on the speed and productivity of our PC's. You all can mess about with your Asda Ragu offers...these SSD deals are genuinely good though, and I for one am glad they are popping up so often.
Once they come to £199 I will be interested, my money is on about 6 months.
The 512GB kit works out at 8 quid more and includes transfer kit and software - item 342524.
Keep the ssd deals coming, heat from me
hot, price.

This isn't new technology, the military have been using SSDs since 1995. I've been running my OS on SSD for 5 years!
It's only new to apple fans who like to pay over the odds for a machine that's always 1 - 1.5 generations out of date lol!

People are posting every SSD they can find, purely because all the retards keep voting every one of them hot.

So much hatred for so little need. Are you 10 years old?
Looking forward to £300 1TB SSD's!! Keep'em coming peoples!! HOT!

There's still some stock with the transfer kit.

How does this compare to 2 X-25M 80GB G1's in RAID0?
I believe it is roughly the same performance but you only use ONE SATA port and get more capacity?

I've not seen ragu posted on here for ages! Very angry little man obviously. Hot as a great price.

There's a lot of us been running our OS on SSD's for a while. However they aren't generally this cheap or they wouldn't be posted here. I don't quite get what apple fans have to do with it apart from, yes, they are paying over the odds for old hat equipment.

SSD's aren't a panacea either, they do speed up some quite annoying bits of computer use though. As there seems to be a boatload of manufacturers getting on board, the price is starting to drop quite heavilly. Compared the woe's of hard drive purchasing over the last year it's quite a welcome relief.
Arrived today, thanks OP.

Mine came with the 0309 firmware - updated to 000F firmware from here - crucial.com/sup…spx
