Sooooo almost ordered this exact same set a few days ago for £75 from Crucial, just figured I'd hang out just in case ebuyer got these back in stock. Apparently these overclock brilliantly (see the forums at overclockers.co.uk) as the chips are the same as those on the 800mhz models. I'm not really a tech-head myself, so if you're unsure please read up a little before ordering, but I'm DELIGHTED with this purchase :). Only 13 left in stock, so be quick, and use Google Checkout to get them at this price.

No idea whats up with that direct link, very strange, use this instead: ebuyer.com/UK/…278

Thanks for the post Newton.Gun We love ebuyer & GC :-D

phenomenal price for brilliant d9gmh sticks, i paid about 70 these a month ago ...and that was a bargain.

these will clock to ~500 4-4-4-12

ive recently purchased the "dell deal", i got the standard 1gb ram (512x2), im really confused in which ram to upgrade too, their have been 3 options which have been posted on hduk, which are the kingston, corsair and OCZ, which out of these three is the best one to go for my dell, are they all compatiable, is it possible to overclock the ram on the dell system. thank you:thumbsup:

wow, cl3 - very, very fast timings for DDR2-667, looks pretty hot.

For the Dell the Corsair is the best option, CL4 the same as the standard Dell memory.

edit: The Crucial is Out of Stock now. There are still 9 Corsair in stock.

I did manage to buy some of the Team Elite DDR2-6400 CL5 for £17.60 per GB (2 * 512MB) if that’s what you’re referring to!
Ebuyer have a good deal on Corsair DDR2-667 CL4 2GB (4x 512MB) at the moment: £37.54. That’s £10 less than buying two 1GB sticks.
ebuyer.com/UK/…382 - 41 in stock as I type.

These are showing as £72.24 for me?

I've been busy trying to choose some RAM for a week or so now, and the great thing about Crucial is the RMA time, should anything go wrong. Three day turnaround apparently, which is vastly quicker than most other companies. Also, you can use their compatibility finder on their website to make sure the sticks will work with your motherboard // system before purchasing. Plus, these Ballistix also have heat spreaders, so you pretty much end up with quality RAM at value-RAM prices

Welcome to the Ebuyer crapshoot. ;-) Their prices are vary variable so you have to get them while you can.
If you’re looking for a bargain and you work with a PC here’s a tip. Open a browser tab for each of the main relevant RAM pages that you’re interested in and once an hour take a look at the prices. Don’t open a tab for a specific RAM module but for the whole sub-section e.g. DDR2-667 2GB ebuyer.com/cus…rue
If you just track one RAM module you can easily miss a bargain on another similar item which is why I suggest this method.
It’s worth looking at both the 2GB RAM subsection and the up to 1GB subsection as sometimes it’s cheaper to buy 4 x 512 MB compared to 2 x 1GB; this doesn’t suit everybody’s needs though.

I suggest you place two separate orders for 1GB DDR2-667 to get the most from the Google offer. Don’t place the orders right after each other as Google don’t like that; maybe half a day apart. The current sweet spot is roughly £30 for Corsair or Crucial or even Kingston; don’t buy the Ebuyer stuff. After the Google discount it should come to ~£45. Obviously check first what your laptop needs and also the maximum it will take; if it’s DDR2 then try here:

Is this info from experience? I placed 3 identical orders using GC directly after each other & recieved no complaint from Google.

I had a warning from Google and others have also had the same. It depends how often you do this and they may of course have changed their policy in this area.

It’s definitely the right type of RAM so it’s highly unlikely you’ll have a problem.

Thanks smilingcrow
