Can you mix ram? Say corsair 3200 with this?

It will pare with 3200 which goes 3600 down to 3200
The human mind is unable to see the speed increase RGB brings. Only with the lights you can see the less than 1 second increase in "raw" speed. That's how you know it's good.

when you mix ram modules, bios automaticly set the speed and latency and voltage to the lowest module. Ofc you can manually OC/set whatever you want , but this is not easy to do , it doesnt always work and not advisable to inexperienced .But all aside , this is great value , sweet spot for ryzen 3k series, is hard to find any cheaper, Hot from me

1.11* nano seconds if they have the same CAS speed of …1.11* nano seconds if they have the same CAS speed of 16https://notkyon.moe/ram-latency.htm

I have just ordered all the parts for my first gaming PC. I sense wanting the best and always wanting to improve things is a slippery slope in this hobby. I went for four Corsair 8Gb's only because they're white and light up.

That's a good as any reason!

TBH, as long as the ones you got are 3200mhz and don't have a massive CAS latency (smaller number the better) they will be perfectly fine :).

Don't forget to enable the XMP profile for the RAM in your bios as else they won't run at the advertised speed.

If you want to tinker, and went AMD, download the Ryzen RAM overclock calculater, it will give you some recommended numbers to use with over clocking :).

Aha yeah. Here are the sticks which I ordered Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 Enthusiast RGB LED Illuminated Memory Kit - White amazon.co.uk/dp/…M01

The other bits which you said are currently too technical for me. I'll just learn each part as I go. I only want it for PC specific games and at least as good as a PS4. But I assume on its worst settings it'll be better than a PS4.

That's some fancy RAM! I like it

Setting the XMP so your ram runs as 3200mhz is dead simple. Boot into the BIO (likely Delete key on startup). Look for something that says RAM Profile and select XMP 2.0. Save and close :).

Don't worry about the calculator I mentioned, save that for a later when you want to gain a few extra BHP!
