description is wrong, that description refer to them as SODIMMs, which is what you put in laptops - this is desktop memory!

It's a DIMM, sorry for the confusion. Part of the description in amazon is wrong and refers to a SODIMM. I can confirm that it's a normal DIMM as I bought this a month ago.

This will work perfectly. The faster RAM will cost more and give you almost no benefit at all unless you to do some serious overclocking.

Thankx op bought 2 sets ! heat added . Ddr4 is still xpensive but what can you do!

Man, have ram prices gone up... Caught this 3 months ago: i.imgur.com/FlU…png and now £116 is a "great deal".

At what point would the average joe need 32gb of ram unless he's rendering Jurassic park 8 in his bedroom?

mmm for only "browsing" and using office tools... probably in 8-10 years. I reckon RAM requirements double about every 4-5 years and most PCs nowadays need 8gb if you have a browser with 10-20 tabs open, some office tools, spotify, skype, dropbox, antivirus and what not.

RAM will always be cheaper when you consider you bought it at a lower density per stick compared to the OPs deal.
