Got a set thank you
Just wondering why we are seeing more of the 'like new' deals? Are people returning due to upgrades or purchase mistakes?

They are always available it's just because the 20% off recently allot of amazon warehouse deals have been posted, they are usually just returns, nearly every time I get a "like new" and I have had a fair few, they are new with a bit of damaged packaging

Ohhh it's the 20% off! I missed that, thanks for explaining
Absolutely ridiculous price for the best value ram in a long time.

Bought 2x 16Gb dual rank sticks (grey) late last year for £96 delivered - currently running at CL14 3600mhz - a perfect match for my 3700X.

Wow, you went from 3200MHz to 3600MHz with these without having to even loosen the timings?

I was thinking I might be better off with something like Viper Patriot 4000 and underclocking to 3600MHz while tightening timings...

Had to play with timings, of course. Thaiphoon and Ryzen DRAM Calculator made it easy, though.

Everywhere I've read says the Ballistix clocks better and tighter than the Patriot - and is cheaper for dual rank pairs.

I would say a couple of reasons,
Recently there have been a great number specials at amazon and by the time you have an item delivered it has dropped by several or a few pounds so lots of returns.
Lots of deals for premium / overclockable ram so enthusiasts buy, try and return, if it does not run at light speed. (Overclocked to 11 tenths of its potential) If its unstable it is returned cos returns are easy at amazon. So you need to hope your new cheap warehouse ram was not bought by the overclocking guy, because he abused the ***t out of it. And then sent it back. And yes they know how to open things without it looking used, thats all amazon care about.

Ah OK. Good job!

I am keen on 3600MHz but CL16, so thinking I might buy 4000MHz and then tighten timings while underclocking.

Is there much differencr in dual/single rank? My knowledge is not so great on these details.
