Thanks ordered one.
I dont really know much about these things, but at this price and size I think we have reached a point where everyone should now have one over a normal hard drive for their os

People should have had them for years and yet many still suffer

If you don't have an SSD drive for your operating system get one now as you'll want to punch yourself for not doing it 5 years ago.
Trying to order this and I get some weird prices on the website. Need x2 price should be 65.99 ex vat but discount is not being applied at checkout. Bit disappointed.
I need to get a ssd just to help with boot times on my home pc- is this one at amazon better / worse? Not trying to undermine OPs work but clueless on current technology

Fitted one to my Toshiba laptop earlier this week. Was about to bin it as it was extremely slow even after a full factory reset. Since fitting the SSD drive it has been totally transformed. It boots up fully in about 10 seconds compared to about 2 mins previously. A full virus scan for example takes about 15 mins compared to over an hour with the previous standard hard drive.
A bonus was that the 1 tb hard drive I took out is now been used as a spare external hard drive once fitted to a external hard drive enclosure.
Thanks OP. Can anyone please recommend a caddy to go with these 7mm HDD?
