Cheapest it's been this year, according to CamelCamelCamel. Deal went 500+ hot when it was £128.39 back in September.

Rather get the MX 525 for £11 more. Rather than the budget BX 480. For that reason value for money this is a cold deal

What’s with all the SSD deals today? The Computer section is just a wall of them?! Isn’t it wise to wait til Black Friday at this point in time anyway

I went through every single SSD from £40 to £400 in price order on Amazon, looking for low-hanging fruit. That's why I posted a number of SSD deals in a row.

Not criticising, it was just an observation. I'm all 'SSD-ed' up anyway but would jump for bigger disks on some machines, as it stands, am going to wait for Black Friday, got some silly deals on them last time round.

The BX300 is actually faster than the MX as it uses MLC nand while the MX only uses TLC. This also means the BX has far higher endurance.

Other than the ~40GB difference (which is accounted for in the price) the BX is a far better buy.

the mx300 525GB is TLC while BX300 is a MLC

Isn't the bx range built around an MLC cache on top of TLC? Resulting in dire performance once the cache is exhausted.

Or am I thinking of a different budget range?

They aren't all the same in that range and this one is MLC:

Initially thought this would be a budget cut back SSD but reading the review it looks great. DRAM cache, SLC cache and MLC based. Pretty good
