These are DRAM less so performance is poorer than DRAM versions like the MX500. Cant recommend them if there are DRAM versions for say £10 more eg MX500 at amazon .amazon.co.uk/Cru…XCV

Agree, go for mx500 over this, also comes with longer 5 year warranty
Yes if budget allows, go for the MX but these drives are still good enough for an average user and a decent upgrade from a mechanical hard drive.

The other day I bagged the 240gb version for 24.99 from 7dayshop.
I use this drive in my work laptop and it's pretty decent for the price.... I'm used to Samsung EVO's and while I have found the occasional slow down on this dram-less drive when copying big files or unzipping large files, on the whole it performs well and for the cheap price it's a massive upgrade from a mechanical drive whatever the spec of your machine.
Never realised that not all ssds are built the same. It's going into an old laptop so it'll get a bit of a boost.
Slightly cheaper now mate at £26.49
