I Just bought a small capacity one of these for my boy's laptop. Interested to read what others "in the know" think about these
I have the 240GB version, and im pretty happy with it.
Coupled with a Ryzen 2600 and 16GB of ram my boot time is around 5 seconds.
There's plenty of reviews saying the drive is slow, but my real world experience is that its plenty fast enough.
Its a fair bit quicker hen the kingston V200 drive that it replaced.

People say that's slow. I mean who needs a system to boot faster than 5 seconds? How little time do these people have.
Are these dramless drives?

Pleased with my BX500....works fine. Performance users or those that work with larger file sizes might consider the MX500.
Looked into this last night and ended up going for the MX500 as the life of the BX is not very good. Look into TBW values and you will see these are not designed to last for very long. Fine if for a games machine but if you need to keep stuff I would pay a bit more?

Installed it and am very happy with it. The boy's laptop boots and operates (ie opens a program) in a fraction of the time it used to. Must have been an awful hdd in there... Stifling an old i5 processor.

Just a heads up, the 1TB MX500 can be had for £91.66 on eBay using the PRICEWIN code.

Yeah the MX line are a pretty big step up from the BX. The seller only 2 left so I'm not sure if it's worth posting it now. Glad you got one though, and feel free to post it if you like.

I paid £49 so this gives me a half chubby. But I'm too idle to do the replacement install.

I paid more than this deal. But the drive is still sitting in a drawer 'cos i'm too lazy to do a clean install to replace my old drive.

Sorry, I just get excited about SSD deals.
