Tiptop in depth review why this may, be a better value than the Samsung 850 Pro range...

If you buy the frustration free packaging version, you can download the Crucial Executive drive management software here: uk.crucial.com/gbr…ton
And the Acronis data transfer software here: acronis.com/en-…ad/
From reading the reviews I think you get the software bundle only if you go for the retail packaging - it doesn't come with the frustration-free packaging.
because its the best value 500gb ssd drive at present. Its a great drive and is very good value for an SSD, considering the 250gb version is £67
it certainly is better than the M500 but you probably wont see much of an improvement over it, maybe a second or two from boot. Not enough to warrant the extra outlay unless you need the extra space. The cache works better.
Thats reads correct to me - received the retail pack from e-buyer and it included a licence key as part of the packaging. Someone else who purchased from Amazon received the "frustration free" packaging version (what???) and did not find have a licence key.
Interesting as this has only been out for a few months... ;-)
That's why I provided the link to download it!
I don't believe you need a license key to run the Crucial version of Acronis as it will only run on Crucial drives. I will install it tonight and check - personally I use Macrium Reflect Free for drive imaging. It's free and works with any drive...

You are correct, the licence key is no longer needed:
"Older versions of True Image HD used a 16-digit product key for registration of the program. This step is no longer required for the current version of the software. As long as a Crucial BX-series or MX-series drive is connected to the system, True Image for Crucial will now install without registration."

500gig Crucial drives have been out for years. Maybe don't take everything so literally.
