Seems like a nice price for a 1TB SSD compatible with the M.2 interface (they're always more expensive than SATA drives). Don't forget to check your motherboard's compatible with an M.2 SSD. This may also fit certain Ultrabook models - again, you'll need to check. Base price is £227.98, delivery from £0.98. Possible 2.6% cashback.

I just got the same drive for around £80 odd from amazon?

Good price for m.2 1tb though, shame about the speeds - this standard is capable of so much more!

M.2 sata interface (still SATA speeds)
Not M.2 NVMe (PCI express 3.0 4x speeds)
Also, it's not 2.5", it's 2280 (22mm x 80mm size)

Make sure your notebook or desktop mobo can handle the M.2 SATA if you want this drive, and temper your expectations about speed if you do too. M.2 was made for space saving in ultrabooks, which it does well. NVMe is a newer tech that piggybacked on the M.2 interface, and is usually found on higher end desktop mobos and VERY VERY few notebook mobos.

The issue is people getting form factor mixed up with interface type/bus.

NVMe is now becoming the norm on higher end laptops and ultras portables, but the interim use of SATA on m.2 connectors has just muddled things up.

All in this isn't a bad price for 1TB, but M.2 NVMe prices will tumble over the next 12 months due to the uptake of the standard in the server/workstation market.

Very expensive for a SATA SSD.

M.2 began with the SATA interface - several years ago. You can thank SATA for M.2 existing.

Anyone know of a cheap mSATA to SATA adapter? Only ones I can find are £65+, at which point I might aswell just buy a new SSD drive.

Waiting for the Samsung Evo 850 to come down. Ok prove for this one I guess.

You might be waiting sometime, it's likely to been phased out before it comes down in price especially in the m.2 form factor.

Meant to say dual mSATA, but these prices arent bad so might just buy two of them instead. Thanks for that!

THISStartech one will do that at less than £40, however there a decent Vantec Dual mSATA I've used before which is only £15-20 but you'll have to get it from eBay or Amazon.com
