I keep hovering over the button to order, but with Black Friday so soon, I just know I'll have buyers remorse, can see 500GB SSDs for not a lot more over that weekend. Rake nothing away from this, a good price I reckon!

Being Amazon they would probably let you send the original back for a refund, I did that early this year for a G700s mouse. If you don't desperately need anything now, it'll be best to wait with Black Friday getting close. Still a good price if you are in real need of this SSD.

price dropped a further 10p!

I got the 750gb for £140.00 thru Flubit when it was £155 on amazon a month or so back. not sure what they are at the moment.

just before anyone says they haven't got a time machine... what I mean its worth trying Flubit for a decent discount.

The 750GB SSD is showing as being £149.00p direct from Amazon.

get on Flubit & it should be in the region of £135-£140... no time machine needed

On HUKD that type of reduction will cause chaos. Expect to see this deal posted another 500 times.

Just a heads up, you should use either '£' or 'p' rather than both. A price could be shown as 52p or £0.52 for example, but not £0.52p.

I'm honestly not trying to be a dick by saying this so I hope it doesn't come across like that

You can send it back within 30 days for any reason, no problem, but if the item is fully working, you need to pay for postage.

Provided unopened, you can send it back, no problem, but at your own cost.

Not true, when I returned a mouse earlier in the year it had been in use nearly a month and they covered the return postage cost. They wanted it returned, I was simply seeing if they would reimburse the price difference between what I paid and the current price.

If you return goods to amazon which is not faulty, you need to pay for return postage. This policy has been there for years. If you did not have to pay for postage, that was just you got lucky.

You can return goods to amazon in 30 days if you do not like it.

Furthermore, amazon used to offer 30 days price guarantee. You could ask for price difference back in the past. Amazon has stopped it for few months.

Now, they cannot simply refund you the price difference. You have to return the goods and repurchase. And if the goods is not faulty, you have to pay the return postage.

You are right about it does not have to be unopened. I forgot about it. You can return goods for any reason within 30 days.

Beware the 275GB model... The poor performance compared to the mx200 250GB or mx300 525GB kills this deal

I've never had any problem having price differences refunded. All you have to do is ask for it in chat. A couple of times the CS person has said that they'll do it as a one off or whatever but it never is a one off. Last week I got the difference refunded on something I bought in mid-September.

I do not know how can they still refund you price difference last week.

But what I said before, was confirmed in 3 different occassions on chat with different amazon representatives re different orders.

And In a different thread before, someone raised the same point. All people who joint the discussion had the same experience. No person has said can still get price difference refunded in recent months.

No, it is not.

If the item is faulty or damaged, of course, you can return it and free of delivery charge. For any other reason, you pay return delivery.

Have a try yourself.
Go to your amazon account, pick an order, choose "return or replace items", select reasons as "better price available" or "no longer required".

Then you can see how much delivery charge they will charge you after you past the screen of choose refund method.

I don't know what to say. I could post the chat log I suppose or a screenshot of the £5.30 added to my gift card balance but that wouldn't really prove anything as both would be easy enough to manipulate.

Maybe select item faulty or received after delivery date etc etc
Never paid for a return ever with Amazon regardless of my reason

Just google reviews of it
or even search through the spec table on the MX200 series vs MX300 series
if you've bought it, that will certainly make you return it

Original Poster

all reviews I've read (can only find 550gb and 750gb reviews) put it on par with the mx200. slower write speeds but quicker read. there were a few issues with 750gb initially but they were fixed with a firmware update. mine arrived and running without issues. real world can't notice difference between this drive and my 850 evo. don't bother benchmarking as you'll get obsessed with something that doesn't really matter

That is why.

If the return is the result of their fault in supply faulty goods or delivered late than they promised, there is no return delivery charge.

Returned a graphics card a few weeks ago because I was an idiot and ordered the wrong one, dropped it off in an amazon locker and never got charged for return postage.

Maybe on larger items they charge but on smaller ones they let you use the lockers or collect +

It solely depends on what reason you selected when you request the return from your amazon account.
