OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perfect

just bought one and wanted to post on HUKD ;] good deal :]

IS it worth buying this SSD? or hold out till others with faster sequential read/write speeds?

em... just got myself a 500gb Samsung 850 EVO for £111 on the amazon warehouse.

Do i send it back and get this?

Literally went on Amazon at 12 and bought this straight away. Been wanting to replace my 250GB SSD for ages now to fit all my games on and a 750GB one for just over £100 isn't bad at all

I only need 120GB, wish a decent priced one would hurry up

Im soo tempted but also have hope for a 1tb one for £100!!! Should I go for this??

Me thinks yes good sir!!! Up to you at the end of the day mate but the extra space with the Crucial would be handy IMHO.

I was really hoping to get the Samsung 850 EVO 500GB but this is very very tempting, would anyone say the difference is enough to hold off and drop 250gb of storage?

For the money I think it's a good deal - I personally would go for it, as it would me to step up a RAID 0/1 set on my HP 2570p EliteBook for running virtual machines (self study) whilst I'm stuck job hunting...I need a beer.

Went for it, but if anything pops up between now and then, ill just cancel it.

If it's any help, although I love my Evo, 500gb is already looking like it wasn't enough. This looks like a steal for 750gb at that price. So tempted to buy one for my Dell Vostro laptop for the boost in speed.

Nice

Samsung evo 850 is far better

Hey folks,
Planning on building by first gaming pc was actually looking at the 275GB version of this SSD and adding on a 1TB HDD. I don't feel I would need much space. Anyone that knows more about this stuff know if I could make do with just this 750GB SSD on it's own? Would there be any significant draw backs?
Cheers!

thanks OP, ordered

Just bought to replace my 256gb SSD, thanks

£110 for that SSD is a steal, its better in all performance and realibility aspects compared to this corsair, I say keep it all the way unless you really need the extra 250GB. I personally went for this, as I have allot of big space taking games, which I know would eat into a 500GB. Now if a 750GB Samsung 850 Evo pops up for £100 I think I hit the digital lottery

Thanks! Purchased in the hope it'll save my macbook pro from death by spinning beachball.

The samsung 850 is not much different to this get your facts right this is a bargin buy this and if any better do come up buy them and send this back

Thanks OP, ordered one.

Hi,
Once you go to SSD you won't go back to HDD unless it's just for storage of files.
Depends on your usage really.

At the moment I have got 3 x 256 SSD and run out of space, most space took games (some high end games take 20GB-60GB), video editing... So bough this one, could not resist at this price point!

Can I buy your 256GB on the cheap?

just bought it. hot.

if there is a better deal later on I can always send this back.

I have the older MX200 250GB version and never had any issues with it. So when I saw this, it went straight in my basket.

I built mine in August and went for 3tb hard drive and 250gb ssd. The ssd is really convenient for use with saving you time loading games, accessing files and just wish this deal was available when I was building mine. Could you potentially buy this and add a 2tb Hard drive down the line.

My only criticism is be careful on what you install on it as 750gb will run out quickly if you download every game within your steam library.

super hot - thanks op

GTA 5 With mods already takes 140gb....

You could never write enough onto it everyday to render it useless before the warranty is up this is there latest edition research this then comment

Thanks Op, what i was waiting for

I say NO dude. Samsung trounces the Crucial. I own both.
Is it for desktop? If so, the £50 will buy you a fat HDD for extra storage.

Lmao fan boy right there in reality very little difference if at all

Thanks OP been waiting for a good SSD deal. 250gb is no longer enough!

Nicest deal I've seen on an ssd for a while. Heat added.

Nice

Will go well with XBOX ONE
Also anyone looking for an enclosure with UASP support, I just bought this one => Salcar 2.5" Aluminum USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure

My 2 cents on the matter. Is this a good deal? Yes, probably the best priced SSD you'll see in this entire sale.

Is it better than a Samsung 850 Evo? No BUT... this is better value for money at this price. What most people don't say (? don't realise), in real world applications, there isn't a huge difference between mid tier SSD's and top tier ones. Benchmarks for SSD's show read and write stuff 90% of users don't even understand. They are both very fast and unless you are transferring large files, you will not see a real world difference.

I own an NVME SM961, Samsung 950 pro, samsung 850 pro, samsung 850 evo, OCZ 400, crucial 300 etc. Yes my NVME are fractionally quicker but not enough for me to care about.

SSD vs mechanical drives is a whole new kettle of fish, you WILL notice a significant difference from snappier response times to everything just loading that must faster. Again, for the price, this is one of the best deals this Black Friday so far.
