Why would anyone want to get this SSD from Amazon (Tax avoiders) on a 'Price Match' when you can get it delivered free for the same price from ebuyer?

I got this when it first came out for about 220, laptop starts up as quick as a flash, well worth it.
Nice spot

Paid £215 for a 1.05TB MX300 for my PS4 a little while ago, so heat!

Amazon use agencies to permanently supply them with long term staff. They work the staff to the brink for minimum wage via picking/packing targets, then they use every trick in the book to avoid contributing to the country and remove the profits. This is how U.S. firms do things in other countries, they use us as an offshore work house.
Avoid amazon if you value workers rights as their staff have none.
Use ebuyer/whatever for general purchases, amacrap just told me I have to spend £40 to even write a new review.
I thank all the up voters: is it time for a revolution?

When your stuff breaks ebuyer will laugh at you and next time you will buy stuff from Amazon.
Plus if you pay for premium delivery with ebuyer you’ll still wait a week for it to come.
I need a 1TB SSD, is this good or is the 860 Samsung EVO noticably faster?

Exactly what happened to me. Never again bought from Ebuyer and gone with Amazon ever since. Free delivery and free return post (with legitimate good reason) and good customer support (something that Ebuyer know what that is).

Wait until you have a bad experience from ebuyer (won’t be long) and then revisit this statement

This is what I always think too, you can judge a company by how they treat there staff and for me I personally don't even think they treat there customers all that good either. Pricing isn't designed to be special or a good deal it's always just a penny or so matching the competition so it's just enough to get by while they screw the workers too.

I think it's despicable that Amazon force people to work for them and tell them that they must remain an agency worker, and prevent them from seeking other employment or improving their skills via training. I think we need some law that says people have the right to choose who they work for, and if they want to go to uni or start an apprenticeship then they should. Not have Amazon take them from their families and lock them in a workhouse for the rest of their lives.

I also think Amazon should be forced to pay more tax than they are legally obliged to. Maybe the govt will scrap Isas and force everyone who has them to pay the tax they managed to avoid.

Jesus wept.

Well it's the EUs tax laws we're following. Doesn't look like that will change anytime soon now.

I remember buying a lot of things from Ebuyer when I was at uni, and then Amazon really took off and didn't go back for years. Anyway when I wanted to buy something from Ebuyer back in 2015, my order got cancelled. The email I received said I needed to provide the following:

  • A scanned colour copy of the full picture page of your passport OR picture card of your UK drivers licence along with your passport or drivers licence number.

  • A utility bill that is at least two months old.

I couldn't believe it. I called and tweeted and was told that's their policy. Never have I had to go into a shop online or otherwise and prove I am a British citizen or bill payer to buy something.

Never, ever, ever will I buy a thing from Ebuyer based on the crappy way they handled my custom. Jerks.

Amazon all the time, all damn day, always.

Returned multiple items to ebuyer with no problems either replaced or refunded, you should try them they are not bad at all.
Thanks OP just ordered, been in and out of my basket for the last few days at £189, so finally took the plunge.

As the warranty can be handled by Crucial, they confirmed by chat that it doesn't matter where you buy it from it will have their five years warranty, and their returns in the past have been excellent for me you should be fine buying from either store.

Mine should be here tomorrow from ebuyer oops I mean Amazon

So on the basis that n=1 they are fantastic...

Add me in so n=2 then they have a 50% failure rate...

Used to spend 5 figures with them per year (for work) - will never buy from them again now.
EBuyer is worst when it comes to return any item.
I really want it but I don’t need it.... I hate this site sometimes

actually corporate tax used to be the same as individual income tax until Finance Act 1965, WE didnt form the EU till 1975 ten years later. Strange how truth is the exact opposite of what you think. BTW you do realize we created the EU, perhaps Dr Frankenstein is being confused with the monster yet again?!?!

Clone it. Either use the Acronis software that's a free download from Crucial (hardware locked), or Macrium Reflect Free edition,

I've used both without issues, works from within Windows using magic.

This tutorial goes through the process using the free version of Macrium Reflect:
tenforums.com/tut…htm

I've used Reflect succesfully many times over several years and would always recommend it. Do not trust Windows to work properly for things like this, they have a funny idea of what 'properly' is!

Worth mentioning: A huge advantage of taking an image then restoring it is you can PUT YOUR OLD DRIVE IN A JIFFY BAG AND PUT IT IN A SAFE PLACE so if something does seem to go wrong, you can throw your old drive back in... (Meaning don't use it as a secondary drive until you're convinced the rerstore worked)

Long story short, i fell victim to hard drive borking with the latest big windows update. I managed to recover personal files onto a 500gb SSD but need something bigger for my main storage. What concerns me is the health of the old HDD that windows tried to wipe.

£15 off a £60 spend and £10 free credit for topping up my account. Will be delivered tomorrow for £52. Ebuyer can't match that.
I avoid eBuyer where ever possible - had a HDD a few years ago and it died within the first year so I sent it them back and they said the serial number wasn't one of theres and refused haha.

Amazon have great customer service and they will never make genuine returns a hassle - as a consumer this means a lot.

In relation to the comments about how they staff are treated etc - welcome to the wonderful world of retail. I'm not saying it's right but Amazon aren't the only ones with reputation, a lot of the big retailers are the same.

My wife’s cousin worked in their warehouse in Luton and what you say matches nothing she told us about the job. She said whilst it could be boring at times, people have been great and she was treated well by management. So no idea what fake news web sites you read to get these insights about workers. I won’t disagree about the tax evasion though

I want to go down this route. Is there currently a top up deal with amazon or something? Do you have the details how to do this?
Damn ssd prices keep dropping! I got the 500gb version about a month ago at £90 but using the amazon assistant £5 off and £10 off with amazon top up to take it down to £75.

Still its good to see prices going down since I'm hoping for a new build in the near future
